Sweetness!
-
@altcode: You beat me!
-
@Ruarí You'll need to wake up earlier next time
-
Some bugs here affected lots of users - good to see them finally fixed.
Flag changes with chrome 85:
Removed:
- #enable-native-notifications - this should be on by default for all supported OSes now
- #happiness-tracking-surveys-for-desktop - whatever that was, its gone now
Added:
- #enable-desktop-pwas-run-on-os-login - interesting tool for PWA users
- #force-color-profile - this went away last time, it's back now for those that need it
- #scrollable-tabstrip - This has 128 votes on the forum and this flag show chrome has begun implementing it. it doesn't work right now, but chrome is interested in developing this kind of UI. will they beat vivaldi to it?
- #enable-new-badge-on-menu-items - interesting ui concept, probably a chrome-only feature though
- #form-controls-dark-mode - dark mode for forms and scrollbars
- #quiet-notification-prompts and associated #permission-chip - probably chrome only will probably require extra work for it to function with vivaldi
- #enable-lite-video - use low quality video to save on resources

Ouch, spoke too soon... auto-update broke the install directory... Only thing left is setup.exe under
Application\3.3.2009.3\Installer\
.Oh well, manual install then I guess.
-
I had first updated, don't be to slow and shy.
Anyway thanks for web sites fixes and they work now.
-
@pathduck: How many builds do you have installed and how are the installed (single user, system wide, standalone)?
-
@Ruarí I have a regular installed (all users) Snapshot as my primary (32-bit) located at
d:\bin\Vivaldi\
Then I have a Snapshot Standalone (64-bit) for testing located atd:\bin\Vivaldi-snap-standalone\
And a Stable Standalone (64-bit) for testing located atd:\bin\Vivaldi-standalone\
It's all sorted now, I just reinstalled manually.
Not sure if I'll be able to reproduce that situation -
@pathduck: So no single user installs lying around?
Can you also send me the install log from %localappdata%\Temp\ (just log a bug and reply to the automated message with it as an attachment)
-
This post is deleted! -
@gwen-dragon: But you had an unsupported install setup*. Something that will only lead to other bugs and might explain some of your unreproducable reports. I am asking pathduck in case he has a normal setup that causes the same issue. It is why I left your bug open, in case there was such an issue.
*You should not have two builds with different Vivaldi version numbers using the same User Data directory. It can only end in pain.
-
I'll grant you that we should probably make this impossible so that people don't shoot themselves in the foot

Twitter has dead bird showing (on windows, yours not theirs) couldnt fix had to go back to stable.
-
[Tabs] Drag tab out of stack does not open this tab (VB-70357)
works, somewhat strange behaviour when dragging the first of 2 stacked tabs on the rightmost position, gets on 1st left position instead.
-
@christiehmalry I can't replicate. I'm just looking at twitter right now with no problems.
-
@ian-coog: me too
