Spelling check for Georgian language
-
Saw that the new Edge/Edgeium now has the option to spellchecker for Georigan (Chrome has only the language for page translations, without spellcheck).
Don't really know if Edge are open source: https://github.com/MicrosoftEdge, but maybe they have opensourced the lists of language spellings? It's useful to have spellchecker work for the language you use in some daily work, so my suggestion is addition of Georgia spellchecker too.
Thanks! -
@0x49D1 It is already available.
To Add A New Language
- Right-click in a text edit area like this message reply box
- From the context menu, select Spell-check, Language Settings
- Expand the Language drop down
- Select Add languages
- Select your language from the list

@0x49D1 If spell check for Georgian isn’t yet supported, you will probably have to request this from the chromium team. While Microsoft contributes to the open source chromium, I’m not sure this extends to spell checking—and Vivaldi probably just uses the chromium basis and doesn’t do anything beyond.

@luetage Chrome also uses the Hunspell dictionaries. As shown above Georgian is supported.
It is a pretty comprehensive list of languages. I think they must have some other source apart from the LibreOffice repository as there are about 150 languages in the Add Language list.

@Pesala No idea, I never use spell check, becaus me spelling is imakkulate, but OP seems to think this particular language is not supported. We will see when they try your suggestion.
