Any word on M3? (internal mail client)

@jon And I presume the mail will appear in a snapshot and only then after some stable (as was done for sync).
I'm quite curious to see this long waited flexible mail app. One imap account is waiting it ^^ -

Cheers,

@burnout426 See, for me your requirements are all nice to haves (except maybe for RSS preview which I find more essential). I would much rather have contacts integrated into my M3, and settings about when to add mail addresses to them (based on the account I use) and also, which account should be used to send emails when I have a specific recipient etc.
And I am sooooo much looking forward to the calendar. Cannot wait!
@jon Thank you for engaging with us about these topics. Much appreciated.

stop teasing with info and details please since we don't know when it's coming, it creates huge expectations which makes the waiting unbearable, which is not nice , not nice at all
-
@npro I do appreciate to get some info and look forward seeing the first public version.

@npro , sorry about that. I just feel that it is important to keep you in the loop. I am also telling you more as I am feeling confident that the wait will not be too long, but sadly we still need a bit more time.

@kahukura , I am so looking forward to showing you what we got. There is a lot in here, although I also know that some people will want more. That is expected, but we are trying to cover a lot of ground in the first release even.

Take all the time you need Jon, I appreciate that you are always around to communicate with us -often with more info than your position would allow- before anything else. I certainly prefer polished over good/promising but half-baked, as haters are usually waiting in the corner to use the latter for tearing apart the first with badmouth. Don't mind my hyperbole, everything so far was in good measure, can't wait for the next phase where the hype-machine officially starts going

So we will get the next Stable release and then after that a Snapshot with M3 (perhaps) :face_savouring_delicious_food:

Maybe. WIR always is the deciding factor.

Well now that we talk about the RSS feeder as well, will it support .rdf too like for example of this well-known site? https://www.bluesnews.com/ AFAIK not many RSS feeders support the format, or IIRC that of a known competitor.

@npro , we will evaluate the demand moving forward.

@npro Opera 12/M2 did, so that'd be great.

Import is sadly not in place. .. and we would rather show you what we got and add import later.
now, seriously!?? the old users are waiting for over 5 years now, so that they can switch and you dont even have an import function from m2!??

As said it won't be in the first technical preview, but it wouldn't be unlikely for plans to change by the first stable release depending on user demand.

I expect import to be ready before any final release. The TP, however, will likely not have import as yet. You can still play with M3 and the TP is for playing, although I recognize some users will make it their default, just like I have.

I don't think i'm going to be able to resist.
