(History of) Vivaldi Feature Requests

I like the "Color Active Tab" Feature. But is it possible to color all tabs (also the inactive tabs) permanently?
-
- right click on back/forward should open a list instead of being the same as left click
- ctrl-q should be Quit as default, as it is on most applications.

I have suggestion about bar with the page name, can be somewhere in options box to turn on something like in Opera 12 ? I mean situation, when page is loaded, after page title it is shown the address of the page.

It will help working my KeePass, because all sites password I have saved by page address, not name and sometimes it's not the same, so KeePass is not working there.

Please make it possible to use tab stacking when tabs are on left/right side.
Secondly, extensions are really important. I know we can use google extensions, but for some extension we simply need a UI interface. -
I'd like a simpler method to add a page to Speed Dial.
There's the "Add Bookmark" icon at the end of address bar, and I can add the bookmark to one of the Speed Dial folders, but I have to find the right one among the many ones.
So I'd like a specific element to do it.
Something like this: when you click the Add Bookmark button , the relative window open, and there's another dropdown list to add the page to one of the Speed Dial folders

It is already possible. Make sure that you have the latest version.

I always use the latest version
And it is possible, as someone has pointed out in another topic. But it's frustratingly difficult to accomplish, especially when using trackpad instead of a mouse. But if I use them on top/bottom, tab stacking functions as it should. So this really needs to be fixed.

Select the tabs, then right-click to create a tab stack from the selected tabs.

Finally! Thanks for this
-
Played around with it a bit more, and…
- Make the element inspector dockable.
- Have the ability to edit and apply page sources.
- Give the option to always print with system dialog.
- Allow for per-site settings for tab colors in case the calculated color is not the most fitting. Engrish.com, a blue-toned site, makes the UI black, and Cheezburger makes it brown. I thought it had to do with their favicons, but DeviantArt has dark gray and not green.

Hi,
I would like to suggest the ability to create multiple aliases for form auto-complete. This would allow in a simple sense one auto-complete for work related activities and another for personal activities. This might could be implemented as an extension of the password manager.
Thanks.

+1. Nice suggestion.

@rindou:
The title bar is so thin. It is difficult to drag that.
You can drag the window by using the Bookmarks Panel on the left.
-
- Bookmarklets do not work
- When you implement them, maybe they can be added to the small sidebar (bookmarks, mail, history, …, "my bookmarklet to add url to some site")
-
Automatic Tab Grouping:
- All from one site
- All opened from the same tab. (Maybe limited to the time it has focus. Like Tab 1 open three sites (grouped), used tab2, use tab 1, open 2 sites and get a second group)
- Grouping per drag&drop seems a bit complicated currently, the tab first moves away when dragging another into the direction
- Some option to display tab groups (like firefox) for the currently open tabs/groups.
- Option to have several session-groups, which act like the firefox tabgroups (you select a group and see only this one, while the other group is hidden).
-
- It seems to be impossible to reorder the tabs in tiled view? Some Drag&Drop to swap them in the grid would be cool
- Resizing the panes in the grid, some option to split / remove pane to create a custom grid
- Option to open a link in the same tabgroup instead of in a new tab

First off I'd like to thank you for working on this. Hated it when Opera moved to a Chrome based system. I used chrome for a while when it first came out, but did not like its inefficiency from a users standpoint. What I really loved about Opera back then was the ability to right click on the bookmark area and add the current page. All of my bookmarks were very well managed and the ability to add a current page to the folder was great and saved a lot of time. Firefox for example take too many clicks as well as Chrome.

After updating Vivaldi to 1.0.201.2 x64, the window color changed from dark gray to a much lighter gray. (I don't use active-tab coloring.) The left-hand tab sidebar is also a light gray. These are sometimes too bright for me to look at for long. Can you please also add an option to pick the browser chrome's text and background colors? (A single choice of background color would suffice; everything could be based on shades of that, and the foreground color could be black or white depending on which shows up better. I'd like to use the same "Pro" dark gray as the start page.)
I already take advantage of Vivaldi's "page actions" to apply a white-on-black CSS filter to websites for easier reading. Thanks for having a status bar icon that gives quick access to those.

Color and brightness options have been promised.

I know that something similar has been suggested before. So in away this will hopefully reinforce that previous suggestion.
The previous suggestion was around giving certain mime types default download paths. I am hoping that this can be adopted and extended with both the ideas of per domain default download paths and in the email application per label default download paths.
With regard to the email aspect. A lot of MFDs offer the ability to email scanned images to you. In my case, I have these collected in a folder and from there I always save the images to my scanned images directory. Usually, I have to navigate to my chosen default location for this purpose.
Other use case scenarios probably apply too.
Also it would be nice to be able to set a precedence order, i.e. Domain overrides Mine for PDFs or Mine overrides Domain for .js files.
