How to make open in new tab open the link in background and not shift to that page?
-
I know there is an option just below it but my muscle memory isn't adjusting because I still need to do large amount of work in chrome.
TLDR - How can I make open in background tab default and first option?Plus why Vivaldi has this weird option when not even one browser in the world follow this? Just to show its unique and has more options?
Do say that one can add Gestures or extensions because they do not replace the default habit I've since last so many years. Ty

@EvilSpark This is one of the FAQ
- Right-click, Open in New Background Tab
- Ctrl+click
- Middle-click
- Mouse Gesture, Open Link in Background Tab (Over a Link)
- Vote for Option to Open New Tabs in Background as Default
I tend to use middle-click or mouse GestureDown. I know that touchpad users do not find that easy.

Right-click, Open in New Background Tab
Ctrl+click
Middle-click
Mouse Gesture, Open Link in Background Tab (Over a Link)
Vote for Option to Open New Tabs in Background as DefaultAll ways use mouse. There is no way to open link in background tab with keyboard only. Early such feature worked with shortcut Ctrl+Enter - this was very handy when spatial navigation used. Absence of ability to open link in background tab with shortcut leads spatial navigation almost useless.
