@dude99 with a new computer and Vivaldi install... let me just thank you again and wish you the best in the next year, your mod is still awesome (and I'm still fascinated it is not a default behaviour)

Hi @dude99! I love this mod; Vivaldi wouldn't be the same without it! I just wanted to ask you a few questions about customizing the preview url that appears when you hover over a link. I'm not sure if this is a bug with Vivaldi or if it's something that can be changed, but I discovered that the padding at the beginning and end of preview urls are different depending on if the link contains spaces or not.
(link with no spaces and larger padding)
(link with spaces and smaller padding)
Would there be any way to make it so that the padding is always the same size?
Also, I wanted to ask if it would be possible to customize the url preview so that it doesn't extend off the display window. In a non modded status bar, if a url is too long to be displayed, it gets cut off with a '...'. Would there be any way to mimic this so that larger urls end at the edge of the display window with a '...' too?
Thanks in advance for the help and everything you've done for the Vivaldi community!

First of all, I don't have access to the latest vivaldi stable version, so all I can do is try to "guess" the solution for your question base on my knowledge on v5.6... So they might not work or I can't resolved 'em until I get a new PC to access the latest Vivaldi.Would there be any way to make it so that the padding is always the same size?
You can try force the padding to specific size with
padding: 1px 3px !important;
(look for the line withpadding: 1px 3px;
).If that doesn't work, then remove that code entirely (or disable this mod) & restart vivaldi, see what happen when you hover over both of those links. If problem persisted then it's probably a bug, & you should file a bug report to v team

Look for
#browser:not(:has(.toolbar-editor)) footer > .toolbar-statusbar .StatusInfo {
then addmax-width: 99vw;
below it. -
Thanks for the fast reply @dude99! The padding issue seems to persist even after attempting your suggestions, so I'm thinking that it's almost definitely a bug with Vivaldi; I'll submit a report for it after typing this. Your status info shortener code works great though! Any urls that are super long get cut off perfectly now. Thank you so much again!

For anyone who may be looking for a temporary solution to the above issue.
@Pathduck said in Bug Report - Inconsistent Status Info Padding:
.StatusInfo-Content>.UrlFragments {
padding: unset;
}Just add this piece of code to the bottom of the CSS file and you're golden!
