If the initial version of M3 is going to be IMAP Only - will there be a form of local archive?

Can we move every email out of an IMAP account and store it on the local PC while still having fully searchable.

The reason I use POP in Opera Mail is because I cannot afford the costs to keep many GB of old email on the server. If I can move email from the IMAP account into a Local Archive then it will not take long for me to adjust.

Currently my Opera Mail checks 42 different mailboxes, all using POP. About 10 of these are actually dead accounts which I am just archiving the data for.

@jon @Ayespy Can we have some heads up regarding that topic? Some of us would really like to see a mature M3 client in the wild. I know WIR and fingers crossed it will happen in 2020. The hunter can wait but sometimes it's a real challenge without some noise..

Is m3 going to be (optionally) integrated into Vivaldi the way that m2 was integrated into Opera (Presto)?

@n8chavez it will be integrated into it, but unless you use it, it won't be activated nor will it use resources. In that sense it is "optional".

It won't be offered as an independent installer, if that's what you meant.
