Vivaldi is becoming more awesome and powerful at every update, wonderful work!
I noticed anyway significant performance loss and high ram consumption.
Will you focus on increasing performance in upcoming updates?
Keep up the good work! -

"Bookmarks (needs upgrade)"
Yeah strange. Mine says "Bookmarks (needs upgrade)" but I see all my bookmarks without having to click inside.

One issue that's been in the last few snapshots is that Speed Dial icons sometime stay highlighted after you open them in a background tab.
I don't know if there is something in particular that causes it. But if you open Speed Dials in a background tab using middle click eventually one of the Speed Dial icons will stay highlighted.
This causes issues when you have a large number of Speed Dial icons that your Speed Dial page can scroll down. If a Speed Dial icon gets stuck highlighted, then if you scroll to somewhere else on the page and open another Speed Dial in the background tab, the page will automatically jump back to the Speed Dial icon that is stuck highlighted.
You can right click another Speed Dial icon to get a new Speed Dial icon stuck highlighted, but it seems like the only way to get the Speed Dial acting normally again is to close the tab and reopen another Speed Dial tab.

After install, it does not start.

The new extensions toggle settings look wonderful. Thanks

Since when don't the search settings require hitting the Save button (cause it's not there)?

@uhm Funfact on pugs: In Germany a famous comedian called Loriot said in 2005: "Ein Leben ohne Mops ist möglich, aber sinnlos." – means: You can live without a pug, but without your life is without any meaning.
I know I probably sound like a grumpy killjoy to many people when I say I really dislike* pugs. I really love dogs, I do. But I just don't get why people like the toy dogs, there's nothing left of the real animal in these breeds.
Mostly I feel really sorry for them. One can read about the many problems our selective inbreeding of pugs have led to for the poor creatures: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pug#Health_problems
Imagine going through your whole life with a constant feeling of being water-boarded...
Of course, inbreeding is a big problem for many of our dog breeds, but it gets extreme for the toy dogs.
*Hate is such a strong word, it's not the dog's fault after all... it's the owners I should hate, problem is there's sure a lot of 'em

Good point, I hadn't noticed it either! I think it's new in this snapshot. It's a good change though, I've forgotten to press Save a couple of times

I've updated to the latest build last night (Ubuntu 18.04) Youtube videos seem to be out of sync. Picture is ahead of sound by a second or two. Wondering if anyone else has the same problem or what is the fix?
Also I had to switch to Firefox to post this comment since I can never login using Vivaldi
-
@gwen-dragon: Thank you, Gwen-Dragon. It might just be a weird coincidence that the two videos I've opened this morning had this issue. Oh well!

This post is deleted! -
@gwen-dragon: Not a big deal for me. Kinda funny that I can login to Vivaldi blog using Firefox.
-
@Gwen-Dragon This is one of them. I've noticed someone commented on the video saying he/she has the same problem. So it is possible that upload had gone wrong on the channel.

@gwen-dragon: I have continued watching some other videos and they seem to be OK. I think it's better to wait a little bit to submit a bug since it seems like a false positive so far. Thanks for looking into it so far.

Regarding https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXV9nDbewo8&feature=youtu.be&t=680
But the issue is on both 2.9 Stable and Snapshot on Linux and Windows. That is not a False Positive, i think.
Let the devs check whats if something is wrong with Vivaldi video decoding or the video itself. As other Youtube comments on that video state, the video itself appears to be the cause of this problem.

@ian-coog: Well unlike you, I want to see Vivaldi make a mark again and not just roll on by like it has and just like the rest of the crowd. If you want address bar changes all the time and a chromium update then why you even using Vivaldi? Use something else as that's all they give you. Oh you're using Vivaldi because of the features that were mostly put in at the very beginning and nothing much since. think about it.

@ian-coog: I would use something else than Vivaldi is there was anything as good. The closest to Vivaldi would be Opera and Yandex as the rest suck. If something matches Vivaldi or betters it then I'm off as I'm not a brand snob but I do like progress and excitement so for me at the moment coming to this website is a bore and I will have to not bother each day because the excitement has gone like it did with the other browsers.
