And don't forget these shortcuts:
spacebar = scroll page down
Shift+spacebar = scroll page up.I am a shortcut-fan, but learned about these shortcuts only 2 years ago. Using these keys, I can now finally read an article on the screen without touching my mouse, without searching for the page-up/down combination for the laptop I use.

@pathduck: I am always a bit suspicious concerning "small" extensions, expecially if they can access all my browser data since I mostly surf the web on work. However, if you have seen the code yourself this is always something else.
Thanks for the link to Vimium, I did not know this extension yet. It seems to be very promising to me. It shocked me a bit, that it can access my bookmarks, though -
@pyfips My guess is Vimium needs a lot of permissions because it does more fancy stuff, like handling bookmarks and so on.
The "Spatial Navigation" extension needs no special permissions. I've looked at the code and tried to clean up and remove a lot of stuff which is probably not used, but wasn't able to do much. The code is "eccentric" to say the least

hehe a nice topic which shows how important it is for us to have Vivaldi, as every user is different and uses features and/or keyboard shortcuts more or less often, and how many miles ahead of the competition Vivaldi is
I use (additionally to some defaults)
Ctrl+K to focus Address Field and Ctrl+L to focus Search Field 'cause those fields are also next to each other,
Ctrl+B for "Add Bookmark" 'cause "B" is "Bookmarks"
Ctrl+D for "Duplicate Tabs" (I know the heresy)
Ctrl+Q to "Pin Tab" because it's next to Ctrl+W because I pin and close tabs often, and this saves me a lot of time,
Ctrl+Shift+W to "close other tabs", -very handy-
Ctrl+S to "Stack Tabs" & Alt+S to "Unstack" 'cause I don't save pages that often,
Alt+1 for going to previous tab by order and Alt+2 for next tab by order for quick switching 'cause my left hand is almost always on the keyboard, and many other custom which would be overkill to post, and to be honest I don't remember if they are defaults or not after so many years :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_smiling_eyes:
The only thing I'm still missing and asked already 2-3 times is the option to have a keyboard shortcut for "Close Tab Stacks" which is desperately missing for me. Also it would be nice to have a menu context entry "Close tabs by host" and naturally also a keyboard shortcut for it to close all tabs of the same domain conveniently.

It is easy to see the default shortcut for any command by clicking on the Reload button.

@Pesala haha thanks mate I know, I wouldn't want to reset and modify everything again lol, they are so many. I'd rather see them in a guest/new user profile but I don't want to, heh.

Some of Mine:
Ctrl+W โ close tab
*Ctrl+Tab โ switch between tabs
Quick Commands
F8 โ focus cursor on Address Bar
Space Bar โ hit once or twice to go to the next page
Regarding keyboard, there's also Single Key Shortcut
X โ history forward & Z โ history back
1 & 2 โ switch between tabs
Feature needs to be enable: Alt+P >> Keyboards -

Wow - thanks for that one... never seen that before!

Still missing the ability for a shortcut to show the search menu (or any menu really).
-
@killchain Try Shift+F10 or the Menu key (between right-hand Ctrl and Window keys).
-
@pesala: Yes, that's a possibility, but it's still inconvenient as I have to press some other keys to get to the Search menu after that, then yet another key to search with a search engine of choice. At least access keys seem to work as expected. Maybe I can map a macro to do that for me, but I still very much want to see it native in Vivaldi as it was in Opera.

@pathduck: It is always good to have a source for exciting mysteries for grey, cloudy days with a cup of hot chocolate

Go to
vivaldi://experiments
and enable "Show context menu on double-click." (May be broken now)Somehow, I doubt if we will ever see search at the top by default. The wishes of old Opera users are getting side-lined.
However, if we get the ability to edit menus, we can fix it to work any way that we want. This is my context menu in Opera 12.18, complete with underlined access keys.

I've always reset the Quick Commands to Alt+F
F2 is usually hidden behind an Fn key on my keyboard and it's a bit out of the way for how often I use the Quick Commands menu. -
The only shortcut which does not work is the last one.
Why would you like such an amazing browser anyway?
-
Easy shortcut for quit? Useless!
I changed Quick commands to Ctrl+Q, as I use F2 in spreadsheets (and it's more convenient).
I changed Quit action to Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Q, because I don't want to quit by accident. -
@jkierzkowski This blog article is three years old. There is no default shortcut for Quitting Vivaldi. I assigned Ctrl+Shift+Q, which is easy, but too easy to use by accident.
There is also a setting (which I do not use) for:
Show Exit Confirmation Dialog -
