Amazon Prime Video - Bitrate
-
Hello,
the player is only giving me the option to choose a maximum bitrate of ca. 1.17 GB/h instead of ca. 6.84 GB/h.
This only happens to some series (in my case Doctor Who). The following warning appears below in the bottom-right.
Is there a way to fix this problem (Version is 2.6.1566.44 (Stable channel) (64-bit))?
Regards

Thanks for the fast reply. @lamarca all tests run without any problem. I guess @Gwen-Dragon is right. But regardless of this problem i will still use Vivaldi, keep up the good work

Hello,
have the same issue. All tests run without problems for me as well. -
It seems this has something to do with the way Amazon measures bandwidth to stream video. I watch something and I can see the "HD" logo turn white, which is on, then a few seconds later it fades out back to "SD". Then a little bit later it goes back to "HD" . I doubt its the browser, probably more of Amazons servers.

Probably, yes. But still, on Chrome and Firefox for example it works fine at the same time...

That's Amazon issue. Please, use their chat to report it.

This is actually a vivaldi problem, unfortunate that people immediately tell people that its amazons issue. When all other browsers play HD fine and VIVALDI is the ONLY browser with a issue (playing is SD)... pretty obvious what the issue is.
Is the Vivaldi community this dismissive? should we all stop using vivaldi? getting that feeling!

Video doesn't play for me either but with a slightly different error telling me to update Chrome.
IMO every browser should be able to play video from one of the biggest streaming companies out of the box and without issue.
The end user just wants stuff to work when they hit play like in other browsers mentioned above.

@jtid Hello there,
The searches are full of complains about Error 7031, which is their issue, not Vivaldi.

Usually this message refers to Browser sniffing
