Minor update for Vivaldi 2.6
-
@ruario: That's good. Like with 2.4, it happened coming from 2.4 to this build. All the default bookmark folders were added twice, whether I already had ones by those names or not (and I didn't in all cases except Speed Dial).
It's not Sync, since I don't use it.

It's a bug on Sync. The Devs are working on that.
-
Address Bar is still very slow to fetch previously typed addresses until history is fetched, going back to 2.5 which fixed that a while ago, 2.6 is a regression on that part. (already submitted)
-
@xcell_miguel:
I can confirm this. -

@pesala: They are not supposed to but we have had reports of this and we are still trying to work it out and prevent it.
Hi, i sent the "VB-54886 The default bookmarks reappear after the update", i then sent an email with the attached bookmark file before and after the update, let me know if you may need anything else.

I don't think it depends on Sync, as for @rseiler, i also have Sync disabled on my office PC but i still found the problem.

It appears like the bookmark editor in
vivaldi://bookmarks
broke.Editor as seen when selecting a bookmark
Editor as seen when selecting a folder/separator
Is this a known issue?
-
@Gwen-Dragon Now that I look at the pictures again, I can see why it might not be so clear, so I have uploaded new pictures here with a red line for reference of the space that the editor is supposed to use.
Thumbnail as seen in the start page
Thumbnail as seen when editing. As I have highlighted with the red lines, there is a huge gap that is not being filled in, and consequently the thumbnail is not shown properly.
Thumbnail shown for separator and folder, which display properly and have no gap.
Anyways, based on your answer it seems like this is not a know issue.

Breakpoints in Developer Tools are still making Vivaldi unusable. Everything locks up, even links in other tabs As a Developer I was hoping such a major bug would be fixed quickly. Is it safe to downgrade to 2.5?
-
"Process GPU" memory leak?
-
Loading of
css
files still does not work for me.Also in experiments, when I disable Chroma and User profiles, they are re-enabled on restart
