@newscpq: location matters
address bar icons means: "i can do something on this particular page and it's not needed to display the icon on other pages"
extension bar icons means: "i'm always useful"
developers not following this rule is the other thing
-
Damn, I really liked having the extensions there personally. Maybe there could be the option to choose/place to have the some extensions in the addressbar? (Seriously liked it) as well as have the ability to place the extensions on the sidebar.
-
@newscpq Agreed!

Golly. Well, fwiw & fyi, for those who:
- Do not use V in fullscreen mode, &
- Have lots of extensions
the previous SS's bug essentially ate almost all of the url-space... & i kinda like being able to see the full url in the address bar.
-
@ruario Same problem with Windows 10 Pro "Save as"
-
@newscpq @Artex
A feature to move wanted extensions to urlbar could be fine. But....
Previous snapshot screenshot
Would be nice to have this, if also the wrapper (hide/show) could be moved in the urlbar (three dot menu)
The problem would be to avoid duplicates, as few addons already show in the urlbar, most don't, and few shouldn't (usually userscripts). Then it should be also compatible with chromium API to avoid risks to break extensions (should be possible).About dark mode: it fails after the update, just close vivaldi and relaunch it from the shortcut with the two flags on.
Then it should work.
But as @ruario said, is not ready yet. Especially the icons. May become invisible.Nice snap, I hope to see also themes hex and dev tool crash fixed before stable

"Save as" still not working as it should. It still auto save to the default save location.
Using Vivaldi on both Win 7 & Win 10 and it's the same issue on both computers.
-
@Barough But just for the pictures, right? For other types of files no longer known problems.
-
@Folgore101 Save link as/save picture as context menus always save to default location without prompting for save directory.

You're so right about that. Only images now.
-
@Folgore101 I still see the problem for linked content.

What happened with the possibility to rearrange the extension icons (at the upper right corner)? That function mite have been gone for a while or so, but i haven't used Vivaldi a 'while'.
Would be great if that function would be put back again.

Holding Shift+right button works for me.

@Barough All buttons, not just extension icons, are now moved by shift+drag.

on the latest (two?) releases, I can't reply directly to the blog: it offers me login even after I was already logged in.
We have an user on Portuguese forum with the same issue. Login completed, clicking on Reply, he is told only registered users can post and the system redirects him to the login page.
