@Gwen-Dragon I know, it's another of the incosistencies in Vivaldi, it doesn't work if you drag and drop the selected text in the address bar tho, so the form with chrome: is preferred for internal chromium pages.
Try vivaldi://about with select and go and then select and copy&paste or drag& drop and you'll see more comical behaviour -
@ruario: I can confirm this too. After installing update from v2.3 to v2.4, I've closed vivaldi browser as soon as I saw red "x" button, since I only use vivaldi in --incognito. "Whats new" page was opening every time I started the browser in private mode, until I opened a new normal window and closed "Whats new" tab. Browser is set to start with start page, vivaldi x32, win 8.1 x64. Other than that, it's a tasty update, thanks!

Thanks for the hard work but when will you be making the bookmark bar folders drag-configurable? We can't move anything in the folders to rearrange their order, or we can't right click on anything in the folders, like, it's 2019 guys. Please.

@para-noid: i wasn't trying to belittle Vivaldi. I just threw a screenshot out there to make developers aware of how the final goal in this regard could look like. For now i am still using firefox. I have tried all the browsers out there and Vivaldi is the only browser i would see as a true alternative to Firefox. Chrome is not an option at all for me (!) mainly because of privacy concerns.

Each version of Vivaldi just keeps getting better and better. Keep up the great work!

At least bookmarks customization!!!
-
@shadess: And also changing avatar would be nice to have. Now it seems I can't..?
-
@GST I did indeed wrongly speak. You said nothing wrong.
Do you have any version of Vivaldi installed along with your Firefox? -
@ap0st0l: Ok, it seems that it's possible, but it's necessary to enter hidden Chrome settings.

Could you add classes back to the button div's/buttons, would be nice to target those button with custom CSS to change the button icons to my own, previously i could target them with .button-toolbar.back etc. but now the HTML part is just:
<button draggable="true" tabindex="-1" title="Go to previous page Hold for history list" class disabled><svg></svg></button>In the options the "Extension Toggle" doesn't seem to work, or am i getting this wrong, when i check the option ON, i have the toggle button and few select extensions, when i check it OFF, i don't have extensions but i still have the button, i want to get rid of the button, not the extensions.

I'm seeing a regression unless the feature has been deprecated. The Shift+RefreshButton behavior does nothing, where it used to force a complete reload of the URL. Please advise if this behavior has been deprecated or if this is a regression. It worked fine up to and including stable 2.3. Thanks!

This update is amazing! Love the new features! Good work!
-
Fantastic, mr Jon! As always, giving me proud of use Vivaldi! Thanks for you and all the testers and developers of this marvelous browser!

Numerous problems. Highlight the text on the page. And the text just disappears.
In Some extensions, pop-ups are just black backgrounds.
A Web version of WhatsApp has been added to the sidebar. No Graphics. And If you restart the browser, then for a while everything works. But soon the problems begin again.

Still patiently waiting for you guys to allow customizing mouse chord gestures. Several years now.
At this point we can customize pretty much everything else, so it's got to happen eventually. Right?

Have to say I'm a little disappointed. I thought that adding right click functionality to the bookmarks bar would by extension add it to the bookmarks in the Menu. But it doesn't. While I would personally prefer to use bookmarks via the Menu, so I can have as much view space in my browser as possible, this is still a step forward, along with the other new features.

There is something strange with the keyboard shorcuts for extensions: They stopped working since update.
