@ruario Unfortunately I still can't open pdf files without saving.
If I need them, there is the save button.
Save, Save as, Open, CancelThe "Open" button is present, but does not work.
(Linux) -
Unable to middle click on back, forward, or refresh buttons in this snapshot on Windows 10. Another bug, on the bookmarks bar, when dragging a bookmark a bookmark out of its folder onto the bookmarks bar by itself, it creates a duplicate without removing the bookmark from the folder. The duplicate also doesn't retain its bookmark title and just displays the URL.

@csablak Are you able to open any of these files below?
https://www.w3.org/WAI/ER/tests/xhtml/testfiles/resources/pdf/dummy.pdf
https://www.adobe.com/support/products/enterprise/knowledgecenter/media/c4611_sample_explain.pdfI think it depends on the web server giving an content-type of "application/pdf". Are you able to give an example URL?

@ayespy: What's your internet speed? I think it could be my slow internet speed related. It often freezes up when I open a new tab and the new tab is loading
-
@drv42: there's a forum thread about this issue here https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/32508/some-of-twitter-s-videos-sound-stops-playing-after-9-seconds/32

@archive1 I'm getting a blazing 8 MB right now.
Whoa - I lied. It's more like 20. Nominally, I pay for 25 MBPS, but ususally I never seem to get more than 8 or 10.
Under normal browsing conditions, I can't really tell the difference.
-
@atlemo: It's strange that you would remove a customization feature when Vivaldi's primary marketing pitch is customizability, something to think about

Option to lock speed dials. Please and thanks.

@willgogo: This will be fixed with VB-50803

Oh my, it seems Vivaldi bookmark search never searches UPPERCASE letters in URLs.
e.g. If the URL contains "id=AA3", you can find "id=", but can not find "=A" or "AA" or "A3". -
Not sure if @TheDragonReborn means this issue:
If you disable "Open on Nickname Match" option, and then type "/." in Quick Commands window, it opens immediately (as if that option were enabled). -
@Pathduck
I think the buttons should control what I want and not the web page.
But the fact, that the examples you were send, to do work without saving.
But only if I enabled the internal pdf viewer.
If I push "Open" buttom, it is should save it to the /tmp folder without request, and open either internal or external pdf viewers. -
@csablak That's true. Maybe it is broken on Linux. Here on Windows 10 I can select "Open" on the file you are trying and it will download first to default location, then open in browser.

@vias Indeed, I can confirm that. The same problem happens when searching the history.
You should report that as a bug: https://vivaldi.com/bugreport/ -
@aronand: Thanks!

Not so unfortunate, you know... Frankly i've been v surprised that lots of people are NOT talking about this potentially nasty bug:
- https://blog.edgespot.io/2019/02/edgespot-detects-pdf-zero-day-samples.html
- https://www.zdnet.com/article/google-chrome-zero-day-used-in-the-wild-to-collect-user-data-via-pdf-files/
Ever since i discovered these on 2/3/19 i have disabled viewing PDFs in the browser. It's a total PITA, so i'm really hanging out for end-April.

@derDay Yeah noticed that as well.. in the past a single click would open the list of domains, now it instantly triggers "delete all entries". I definetly likes the old behavior more. (have tab bar at left, so trashcan is at the bottom)

@ayespy: mines 2 MBPS download and 0.5 Mbps upload
