Add this already... https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/stay-open-menu/
-
Not sure if you need it, but I could always help with translations to Swedish.
-
I don't use any of the services you use to monetize so it would be great if there was another way to contribute. Your success as a business gets me the product I want. A "premium" value-add subscription might be a good idea.

@loikawhaticando You can help to spread the use of Vivaldi by telling your friends about it. I have a Vivaldi badge on my main site, and a review of Vivaldi on my software review site.
-
@koolio: I'm not sure I agree with that whole feature, but I'm filing a adjacent feature request right now
-
@cqoicebordel: that addon is built into firefox now.. being able to use any drop down menu even the address bar drop down.. and [mmb] on a url to have it load in a background/foreground tab is just super convenient.. saves you having to go back to the same menu to open something else.
-
@komposten: That's great, we'll contact you through the forum chat
-
@koolio: Agreed. Having an option for it to [modifier]+click/enter or mmb and keeping the menu open would be awesome
-
@cqoicebordel so you filled in a feature request for it?
it boggles my mind why no one at vivaldi hasn't already got it pinned down for implementation, I thought this browser was all about user workflow improvements.
-
@koolio In fact the feature request was closed because it was a duplicate. There was already a bug asking for it in the bug tracker. But, the issue is more complicated than you think. They have to recreate from scratch the full menus to be able to do that feature. It's a hard work, for a small(-ish) payoff. It will come eventually though.
-
well maybe when they redo all drop menu's they also make it possible to style them with css like the rest of the vivaldi chrome frame... seems pointless having a cool dark theme and then drop down menu's that are bright white.
-
Not sure how it could tie to the browser exactly, except maybe via a new Start tile (which would be too late for the entire installed base, since only new installs get new tiles), but what about a Vivaldi referral link for Amazon purchases?

i completely switched to duckduckgo couple of weeks ago, because of vivaldi.
so far so good -
