[Windows] Vivaldi Mod Manager

Btw @NeoCortex, some more feature requests for the editor if you don't mind:
... Well the first shouldn't be hard to do. When saving a file, I don't know if ctrl+S is a valid shortcut. There should be a small icon displaying somewhere (and ctrl+S should be a valid shortcut if it isn't already the case)
Second, there really should be a ctrl+F feature. And that's it, don't think the editor would need more. Thanks
@Davy49 That's curious, every release had a .exe in the zip, are you sure about this?
-
I don't see an exe in the zip either
-

there is an exe in the zip, there must be something interfering on your system.
Also the file is perfectly valid with no sign of infection, see this report

Hi,
I surely wasn't implying there was any kind of infection in the files, I just downloaded the 'zip' file once again on a different computer. After extracting the file's contained in the zip file..I still don't see any 'exe' file.

ha, I see what the problem is (for me anyway). I was downloading the wrong zip. Gitlab isn't as clear as Github though the zip is in the same place. Check right under the changelog rather than the download button on the side which is only giving the source
-
How do you miss the correct download is beyond me. On the first post NeoCortect clearly indicated "You can download it here" and the link on the word here goes to:
https://gitlab.com/Neur0toxine/vivaldimodmanager/tags
Click on the VivaldiModManager.zip link and you're done. -
@sjudenim ,
I agree with you, that corrected the issue for me as well, now all I have to do is figure out how to actually use the software.
David -
Good luck, it keeps crashing on start for me
-
@sjudenim app requires .NET Framework 4.5 or higher. Please, check which version you have.
This error arises somewhere in third-party module which I'm not able to fix. -
Also, guys, development is stalled because I haven't time for it. I'll continue work on Vivaldi Mod Manager later (maybe in start of next year). But I'll try to fix bugs from reports ASAP (now I have only one report).
-
The sidebar that shows versions.. could be more useful.. I have 2 instance of the same versions.. but the sidebar is useless and doesn't have anyway of even seeing which version is sitting in which file system path, even rmb context menu that lets you goto that version folder would be useful or mouseover that shows the a tooltip of the that version path.
other than minor issues like that its ok
-
@koolio said in [Windows] Vivaldi Mod Manager:
2 instance of the same versions
you have to admit it's a bit strange to keep 2 same versions apart from testing purposes.
-
even so, I know which instance of vivaldi is which by where it was installed..different drive maybe different version, stable, beta etc...
a bunch of version numbers... with no other way of gaining more info on which is which isn't very good
-
Any chance on getting a version that doesn't require .NET? I'd love to use this tool but won't be installing .NET just for it.
-
@Koolio good idea. Anyway, I can't say when new version will become available. As I said before, development will be resumed in next year.
-
@Jack9 windows 10 already have proper .Net version. Version without net will require full rewrite. Maybe some other developer will create native version, but I'll not.
-
@NeoCortex ok
-
@NeoCortex Only around 50% of Windows users are on Windows 10.
-
@Jack9 doesn't take much to install .net 4.5 and it will be used for other things anyway, so sooner or later also Win7/8 users should adapt to it. I'm still on Win7 myself, so I had to update it.
-
@iAN-CooG There's been nothing that I've ever needed, other than this tool, that has needed .NET 4.5 and, I won't use anything while I"m still on Win7 that does. Adding any version of .NET adds a lot of bloat.
