@stardust Same as yours. Possibly three factors might explain the difference:
- One of my extensions is
Vanilla Cookie Manager
, & i don't let it keep any google crap. - Another extension is
uMatrix
, which i've intensively configured with lots of custom rules... & i tend to block google left right centre up down there & back again, albeit sadly some can't be avoided easily [eg, for Youtube]. - Other than my occasional [or even rare] sign-in to my google account [in my Linux V, i mean] if i want to check some Play Store settings wrt my Android phone, i do not use any google app, service or website.
I have only uBlock Origin. Did you have this bug in the previous snapshot?
- One of my extensions is
-
@stardust
No.Though i have certainly read reports of this recently [beyond just V, i mean],it has never afflicted my V-SS, V-Stable, or Chromium [but then again, i use those same extensions, & retain my same antipathy to google, in those other browsers, as i do in my V-SS]. -

strange...
Are you looking here: vivaldi://settings/siteData ?I've just installed standalone Vivaldi snapshot 1322.4 on windows 7 - same bug
-
Re: VB-44108... FYI, since this snapshot got released, the devs have done additional work to disable even more of the underlying Account Consistency code. Changes in Chromium 70 should also allow the auth cookies to be cleared, so hopefully this won't be an issue for too much longer.
-
@stardust Mea culpa & mega-apologies for wasting your time. I've now edited my previous posts to strike-out the nonsense i wrote. In fact, though i was looking at the right general location, i was one level higher up than i should have been. According now i see, & share your unhappiness about:
Foolishly, i had only been looking in
vivaldi://settings/content/cookies
. -
@steffie vivaldi://settings/siteData ? doesn't work for me. It redirects to vivaldi://settings . Does anybody have an idea why?
-
@rhk Try
chrome://settings/siteData

Thanks!
-
@stardust: What does vivaldi://flags/#account-consistency flag say? Is it at default?
-
Can we please get some entry in the settings about globally disabling images ? vivaldi://settings/content shows nothing and one who is not tech savvy enough won't ever guess that he has to enter chrome://settings/content to access it.
-
@npro FYI, you can access Site Settings and global Content settings by clicking on the icon on the left side of the URL box and selecting "Site settings" from the dropdown... but further to your point, there definitely should be an easier and more obvious way(s) to access these settings through the Vivaldi UI.
-
@xyzzy thanks, I know that but this concerns the settings of the current site in the first place, then you have to click on the left arrow to go to the global content settings. I think a more visible option in the settings or giving an option to do it with the image icon in the status bar (toggle images and animation) would be better.
Disabling images globally is useful in cases where you want to conserve bandwidth, say you are taking your laptop to a place where you have limited Internet via a USB stick.
-
@gtj0 Me too but I never get info like you've posted.
-
@npro Your suggestions for adding an option to disable the loading of images in Settings (and making it simpler/easier to disable globally) are quite valid.

Yes
-
@stardust Strange. Does it work if you set it to disabled?
-
@an_dz no effect
-
@stardust Do you have any other flag changed?
-
@an_dz all flags are set to default.
I've also tested standalone version 1322.4 on windows 7 yesterday (fresh installation). Undeletable google cookies were there. -
@stardust I installed this snapshot and it really does not work. It appears that the fix did not actually got in this snapshot, so let's wait for the next one because in Sopranos builds it's fixed.
