Full Screen takes control over taskbar
-
When in full screen mode, the taskbar does not load, this is also the case when in a dual monitor setup.

I found a bug within Vivaldi.ModEdit: Restoring the original post
I'm saying I found a bug within Vivaldi.

Thank you, please report a bug so that the team can follow it up internally. Then you will receive a bug number VB-999999, please, if you post it here, we'll be able to follow it up.

@lamarca reference VB-42549

thx for the downvote.
I can see why he did, you gave a reply that doesn't make any sense for his problem, Ctrl-Shift-S only toggles Vivaldi status bar, while his problem is more likely that Vivaldi in full screen often hides windows taskbar, especially if it's set to autohide.
Pressing Windows logo key to bring it in foreground, and minimizing/maximizing again Vivaldi usually solves it.
It was one of my bug reports in the past.

I can confirm the bug, but it is complex.
Interestingly, on a dual monitor setup it only disables the taskbar (on autohide) on the primary monitor.
If I use F11 in Vivaldi on the primary monitor to enter fullscreen, the Vivaldi window on the secondary monitor enters Chromeless mode and so the Windows taskbar still displays on mouseover.
If I use F11 in Vivaldi on the secondary monitor to enter fullscreen, the windows taskbar still displays on mouseover. The Vivaldi window on the primary monitor enters Chromeless mode so the Windows taskbar still displays on mouseover there too.

@pesala Are you sure you didn't make a mistake in your reply
It appears as though the bug doesn't exist, as I've read your reply numerous times, unless it's a tongue twister

No mistake, but it is not simple if you use a dual monitor setup. Here is a resized Printscreen
- The Secondary 1920x1080 landscape on the left has a Window Title bar, so it's in Chromeless mode (Toggle UI)
- The Primary 1200 x 1600 portrait monitor on the right is in proper fullscreen mode (invoked by F11)
- The Windows taskbar is on autohide. It displays on mouseover at the bottom of the secondary monitor, but not on mouseover at the bottom of the Primary monitor. So there is a bug. If anyone is using a single monitor setup, they will presumably see only what I can verify on the Primary monitor.
If fullscreen mode is invoked on the Secondary Monitor, the Windows Taskbar displays OK, so no bug. It also displays on the Primary monitor because it is in Chromeless Mode.

@pesala I think I see what you mean, and that with dual monitor setups the issue is more of an issue, then with single monitor setups.
This issue makes using full screen mode useless because the task bar is disabled. -

Just press the Windows key to see the taskbar.

Doesn't work in my situation it only displays the start menu; besides I have keyboard short-cuts which use the Windows Key for other purposes.
I understand the bug is complex, hopefully it is fixed soon as it would make using full screen mode usable.

@sparrows FYI your bug was classified as a duplicate of the following issue: VB-37603 which is currently being looked at (but hard to fix so it might take a while to be fixed). Thanks for being patient with us.

@gaelle Hi, thanks. I hope it gets fixed sooner then later
