@csablak No, you're in the current snapshot thread, but you didn't mention your OS in your previous posts, hence the Linux suggestion.

@pesala: Sorry! No. All cookies are allowed, and are not disabled from third-party cookies. Moreover I also turned off ublock origin.
I do not understand. Beírjam a Linux szálba is? ooops...
Do I write a forum Vivaldi linux thread? If you are on Linux, did you update codecs?
Try this script from @ruario https://gist.github.com/ruario/4eecac838ebfd3a7a164b4f4ee850f30 -
- Please, return old view of about:extensions, that "metro" style is awful!
- In last ver of vivaldi - mouse gestures work with a delay
- Inactive tabs are forgotten after minute, and when you return to them ( newslist for example ) - they reload, its really annoying
-
@rederick_asher
For 1, setchrome://flags/#enable-md-extensions
ondisable
.
This will work if chromium don't remove the flag.
(Just set as default before report bugs)
2 is known,
3 is probably due tab discardingchrome://flags/#automatic-tab-discarding
(disabling will increase ram usage) -
@tbgbe: ok. thank you.

Win 7 64, Viv 64
I have had a lot of updates lately but this seemed to break with this SS build, dead bird never have had before, Had keyboard update can't get ahold of Corsair, browser slider doesn't work or freezes works everywhere else, U block is insane about blocking, passwords don't fill. It is probably mine but OK before.
-
Huh.... This Snapshot is crashy as previous one...
-
LastPass extension is not working with this update. The vault crashes, and pages freeze when a dropdown menu is clicked.
-
Synchronization settings reset every few browser restarts. I need to log in again.
The system and browser have been freshly installed yesterday.
Vivaldi standalone install, Windows 10 1804 x64.

@steffelchen I don't get a crash on opening PDF files, but you could disable the PDF plugin and open them in your default PDF viewer to work around the issue.
Good hint, thanks!
Start a new thread to report the bug, and provide some links to PDF files that cause a crash for you.
I figured out that it's a problem with the site from which I try to open the pdf files. It's the tickettool I use at work, no bug in Vivaldi. Probably a chronological coincidence.
-
And another bug found: Lazy loading tabs not working (VB-41498). Can anyone confirm?
-
@xyzzy I'm unable to test as drop-down menu crashes prevent me from using the current build. Hopefully once that is fixed can test and confirm back on copy / paste.

FYI
I had SO many problems with this SS had to go back to FF. Sorry don't have time to mess with. -
Due to so many issues being reported, I've skipped this version of SS. Hopefully the next one will be okay.
-
Some more strange behaviour from the new "hidden extensions" drop-down:
You can click and hold to apparently drag extensions around (you get the little border indicating a moved element), but the position they land in isn't very consistent,
You also can't drag them out of the dropdown, despite the drag/drop indicator saying you can:
-
@dovelove Better disable auto-update on snapshot when used as main browser
Well, few snap and you can back to v again -
@hadden89 As a rule, my updates never seem to break anything.
-
@ayespy In most cases, I agree with you, but some v-users tend to use snapshot like if it were stable; so why not use an "old" snapshot as a post-stable, then?
I obviously test the latest version, but my main profile is often few snapshot behind, especially when parts of UI/blink are updated. -

I feel so sorry for the Devs. So many complaints of problems from many Vusers, yet my experience stands in utter contrast - i'm [continuing to] having a delightful time with my V-SS. How do the Devs even begin to make sense of such divergent user experiences? Beats me, but i'm so grateful to them.
-
@hadden89 I use SS as if it's stable because I feel that's the best way to test it. I don't have enough time in the day to stop my normal activities and switch over to SS to test this or that. So why not do it in real time as I go about my normal Web routine?
I realize this isn't the ideal scenario for everyone, but it works best for me. It would be great to stay a couple snapshots behind for my "stable" version, but it's just not doable in my situation.
