Self Destructing Cookies
The same functionality as this Firefox Extension

Agree about the white bar. This is just like the vilified white (or very light grey or light grey) theme in MsOffice 2013. More importantly, it makes it impossible to tell whether the app has focus. I can't tell you how many times I've started typing (or worse, hit the delete key) thinking I was in one app, only to find out another app had focus.
Details: Windows 7

I'm not sure what a "Bookmarks Bar" means; what I want is a bookmarks menu, accessible like all the other menu items
-
Pretty good for a first TP version of a new browser, hope you can make it better in future!
Here's my experience and suggestions.- Tabs can be on bottom, this is really awesome!
- I want Smooth Scroll just like Opera 12!!!
- Other functions still missing for me: Fill the form, Sync (Speed Dial+Bookmarks), Import Bookmarks
- Add a right click menu option to fast open the current webpage in other browsers like IE.
- Add Chinese language support in coming releases.
- Add an option to change default fonts.
UI:
- Add an option in settings to allow "Disable tab bar's top spacing when browser window is maximized"
- Add an option to change column numbers of Speed Dial then we can adjust manually to fit our screen well.
-
I somehow didn't see this thread when I made my own yesterday, so I'll paste my wish list in here instead.
For a technical preview this browser is looking promising! Hopefully they can restore the old Opera magic. Here's my wish list of features:
- Sessions / Session Manager
- Click-to-play (for video and plugins)
- Adobe Flash support?? (at least it doesn't seem to load the plugin on my WIn8.1 laptop, haven't tried on a Win7 machine)
- Confirm on Exit
- Be able to turn off password manager
- custom themes
- When right-clicking a link, have an option to open the link in a tab in the background (same as Ctrl-click, but it's nice to actually have the menu option)
- Javascript options/controls
- Be able to set default download location
- Download dialog box remembers the last location that you saved a file to
- Paste & Go
[Edit]
- Ctrl-Shift-T to open previously closed tab
-
- Be able to make the tabs extend to the top of the screen (for maximized window)
- Option to allow the menu bar to overlap the screen instead of resizing what is inside your window (and stop resizing other tabs when you open/close the menu bar so you don't have to see it resize when you go back to a different tab)
-
I want :every mail i recieved can add a "Note" or "tip" text, it only for myself to remember something for long time.
-
Well something that I hate in Opera and Chrome at all is selecting text of links. This function just sucks. I don't think that the people who use drag/drop links are more then people who are trying to select the text of the links and almost always fail…
-
does anyone remember a guy named Tamil and his info on customisable buttons? we need him and his buttons back.
-
I'd like to edit a document in a webpage but I cannot help putting keys as shortcut. I can edit mails and spreadsheets but not documents. I see the same error both in google drive document and microsoft office online.

First of all huge thanks to all the developers for the cool and nice browser. I have several feature requests
[ul]- 1. Merge URL bar with the search bar
- 2. It would be great if we can pin tabs
- 3. Add 2 default themes, another theme with curved edges
- 4. Integrate Hola VPN to browser as a built in feature
- 5. Better password manager
[/ul] - Since its mentioned that plugin support is on the way I didn't include it.
Sorry if I'm being too demanding and grumpy. I like your browser and what see it becoming good alternative for Chrome
Thanks and cheers!

Well. I am using Opera since my first pc. I tried many other browsers, but opera was always my primary browser and best option for me and it still is. I stopped experimenting and downloading "new" browsers long time ago. I don't need any other browser than opera, but when i i saw that vivaldi developer is ex-opera CEO, i decided to give it a shot.
So let make a quick summary/sugestion of vivaldi.
As i tried vivaldi, i finded out its not usable for me (at this very moment). A few "basic things" is missing:
1. Extensions (addons) or call it however. As i am using opera, i will name extensions from opera that are "must have" for me.- AdBlock Plus - In today's life, when every page is full of banners, ads and many other things, its unimaginable for me to surf without Adblock and Ghostery.
- Ghostery
- WOT - Saved me many times from infected sites.
- LastPASS - Most advanced and most user friendly free password security extension.
- Magic Actions for YouTube - I cant imagine to watch youtube videos without this great extension!
- SaveFrom.net helper or YouTube Downloader
- Translator
Also i would like to see in next versions of vivaldi:
- Open private tabs/windows
- Paste & Go option - (CTRL+SHIFT+V) in opera
- Ability to turn off password manager
- Clear history
- Ability to set startup options to: "Continue where I left off", "startup with homepage", "speed dial as a homepage" etc.
- Mouse gestures.
- Synchronization with a server (like opera link)
- Merge url and search bar
- About speed dial: it would be good to just drag&drop one speed dial thumbnail into another and make "folder" in that way, not only clicking on "+" to make a new folder and than adding links "manually" to it.
When you have open speed dial folder, it would be good to click "beside" folder to exit, not only to click on "up" button. (opera have done it that way). - Also, it would be good to have option "edit" in speed dial, not only delete.
- Resizable speed dial thumbnails (at least options to use small ones)
I will keep an eye on vivaldi, and who knows, maybe one day it will be my first choice.
-
- Mouse gestures
- Themes and be able to customize
- Traditional menu bar (File, Edit, View, Bookmark, Tool and Help) like the one below. Add this as a option
Example:
-
First of all: find an easy way to toggle javascript on/off; something like the F12 in blessed Opera 12 and earlier. I refuse to browse with javascripts swirling around. I get seasick and feel vertigo.
Quick summary after only a short investigation:
"edit site preferences" is important; put it on right mouse click
put "full screen" on right mouse click as well
put link to w3c "validate" on right mouse click, too … to help us web designers
possibility for external editor on "view page source", please
drop tab bar in full screen mode to make it full screen.
I'll keep an eye on this, install releases when I find them, and write a full report later on. Keep on the good work, fellas ... I've never liked Firefox nor any other browser since the starry autumn night '98 when I first stumbled upon Opera 3.6 - but Opera nowadays is just a joke.
... and please make a 32bit .deb : there are a lot of Tuxes on old architecture out there, myself thriving better in Linux environment.

Link selection would be cool.

Hi, so here is my arbitrary wishlist. I presume some of the entries are already in the roadmap and some might be nigh impossible, but I included everything just in case:
- Dragonfly,
- Unite,
- Optional borders (because I like to see the whole title http://puu.sh/fbgRZ/2a317c3872.png ),
- Synchronization settings and clear statement on all the privacy/security stuff,
- Mail client with RSS, CalDAV interface to go well with FastMail?
- Proper (O12-like) vivaldi:config
- Click to play plugin blocker (including HTML5 video?),
- Spellchecker,
- Image properties (resolution, metadata, number of frames…)
- Performance analysis for tabs, extensions, add-ons and plug-ins,
- Optional sandboxing,
- Option to delete all (new) cookies on exit,
- Narrower panel toggle,
- Powerful IRC client?,
- Somewhat powerful FTP client?
- Noscript,
- Easily executable "clean profile" instance
- User agent masking,
- Possibility to block elements / divs of specific name on specific site?,
- Something like "Info" from O12,
- Speed dial tuning,
- Detailed site loading progress bar (again, like O12, with speed, transfered data, etc),
- More mouse gestures,
- Detailed download window/tab with graphs, dates, download speed it finished with,
- ctrl+z to open last closed tab (yes I know ctrl+z is context sensitive),
- Tab subwindow arranging,
- Right click+mousewheel scroll for tab switching,
- "Reading" mode like in IE on WP… it takes the (I presume) biggest chunk of text on the page (an article and whatnot) and displays only that white on black background, which is I think very pleasant to the eyes (alternatively it could be black on white). I have no idea how difficult this is to do...
- Possibility to support the development via a subscription (sort of like Linus Tech Tips have) or something.
My background is quite obviously years of using Opera, since like version 6 or 7.
- Mouse gestures
- Themes and be able to customize
- Traditional menu bar (File, Edit, View, Bookmark, Tool and Help) like the one below. Add this as a option
Example:
Well, most gestures I use already work from what I can tell and the menu thing is possible right now as well ("Main menu type" in options).
-
-
Speed Dial Keyboard shortcuts: CTRL + 1 opens Dial 1, CTRL + 2 opens Dial 2 etc.
-
Mouse gestures: All of them
-
URLFILTER.INI Ad Blocking and the right-click Block Content… menu
-
S/MIME support in your Mail client
-
change default search engine
-
CTRL + B for "Paste and go"
-
When filling out forms, like this very forum editing window here, and I press Enter, the cursor vanishes. I have to click into the text field again to see it.
-
-
Need Extensions
-
I'd like to see hold right clik in back arrow below vivaldi icon to go back history page list and choise the page needed
-
Hi, Wish the best for real and MY Opera
Ok, I start with flaws,
""I know it's a TP""
New tab shortcut functions doesnt work such as : Ctrl+T, Ctrl+Shift+T
opening a new tab with mouse middle click is needed.
change the skin, i like it , but maybe it's not the case for everybody
Ctrl+Enter that completes the site name (.com) does not work…
that's it for now
~HOPE IT CRUSHES ALL THE OTHER BROWSERS~
