@love2learn Report to Yahoo, and complain. Yahoo is blocking emails from the Vivaldi domain right now.
-
Using M3, the email was delivered to Yahoo after 20min.

Thank you lamarca and Ayespy for your quick replies, I did go to the link from yahoo and this is what it said " Error: "421 4.7.0 [XXX] Messages from x.x.x.x temporarily deferred due to user complaints - 4.16.55.1" when sending email to Yahoo
T
his error indicates Yahoo is seeing unusual traffic from your IP address and/or that emails from your mail server are generating complaints from Yahoo Mail users.

Our recommendations
The error is temporary. We encourage you to retry sending emails 4 hours after encountering the error.
If you're not the administrator of the mail server in question, we suggest you contact the administrator direct
ly to discuss the error.
If you're an administrator of message content and mailing policy and you've deployed significant changes or you've received this error for more than 48 hours, we ask that you review outgoing messages for objectionable content or pract
ices.
See our recommended guidelines for bulk mail senders and postmasters and note we don't disclose further information about our filtering practices"I did try resending the emails and they still didn't go through. This has been going on for 2 weeks now. But if i reply to an email sent to me from an AOL account it will go through. Since I am not the administrator of the mail server in question I was hoping to get this message to them but I don't know how to contact them or the postmaster that the message tells me to send to.
Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you! -
@lamarca , M3? did Vivaldi finally make their email client? I am on my old computer at home with win xp and am using Opera 11.61 so I guess I'm using M1 or M2 do you think that is why AOL is blocking my emails? It's only a problem with them I can send to other email providers without any problems. AOL did change their servers for imap right before Vivaldi did and I never had any problems before the changes. I will have to try on my new laptop and see if it works there.
Thank You!

@love2learn Vivaldi has been making their email client since 2015. Internal testers are using it to help work out the bugs.
-
@love2learn Yahoo doesn't care what your email client is (and it your case it's M2). They only care what address or domain the mail comes from.

Yes. M3 is being tested internally.

I don't know the answer, try using the webmail to see if you get the same error message.

Thank you lamarca and Ayespy for all your help. I have Vivaldi version 1.0.435.26 (Developer Build) (32-bit) on this computer and I added Vivaldi mail to it as a panel in the sidebar. When they changed the servers my mail panel changed to a mobile version but it works so I sent a email to my AOL account and it went through. I don't know what the problem is with AOL but ever since Vivaldi and AOL changed their servers I have been having weird problems with Opera mail not popping up the notifications or playing the sounds I have set for new emails. Sometimes they will work but not every time. I also would receive emails a second after I would send one to my other address, but now they are taking minutes or a day and now getting rejected. I never had any problems before the switch. I'm hoping these problems work themselves out soon because they are starting to drive me crazy. I hope Vivaldi will release M3 this year I have been waiting since the beginning for it.
Thanks again and have a great day!

@gwen-dragon , Thank you for the info about yahoo and M3. I do have a new laptop with windows 8.1 that I use Vivaldi on too. I was disappointed when they stopped supporting xp. I'm getting too old to be constantly learning new browsers and operating systems and I don't think anyone will be able to build a browser as fast and light on resources and feature rich as Opera Presto was. I still have hopes for Vivaldi and can't wait to see what they will do with it.
Thanks again and have a good day! -
Comment and a question...
Comment: I received a PM from someone at Vivaldi, there is a known issue in sending e-mails to AOL-hosted e-mail addresses from vivaldi.net addresses, it's being addressed. AOL recently switched the mx (mail exchanger (talking tech here...)) record to a server at Yahoo, so when sending e-mail to AOL from outside AOL, it sends to Yahoo first, then Yahoo hands it off to AOL. It's during this AOL hand-off that AOL's mail servers are rejecting the messages from vivaldi.net.
Question: Is M3 out??

No, just internally. I found something you might like:
