Thanks for the bug fix VB-39450!
-
Good to see
Cursor is flickering on text hover (VB-39485)
Fixed. That was causing plenty of issues on the classifier at https://www.zooniverse.org/, not just text. It seems to be fixed now there too. Though there is some occasional flickering back to a mouse, that may not be Vivaldi's fault.

@mariap Thank you Vivaldi Team, and so early on a Monday in the USA at that! Good work!!
-
@lonm: Thanks for confirming the fix We are looking into the occasional flickering, thanks!
-
@rsaeks: FINALLY!
-
Thanks for the fixed ! I noticed a strange behaviour on both this Snapshot and the previous one : I settled the zoom interface at 90% but when opening a new private window (and only a private one), this settings is not taking into account. Besides, in the Window (OS) general setting, the zoom is set at 110%.
Can anyone can confirm this behaviour or it's only me ? -

vivaldi://media-engagement
I think this is currently in an experimental state. More options will probably become available as the chromium people developing it flesh the feature out more.

What happened with the V-menu-icon? It got very small.
-
Nice thanks for the hard work guys.
Just FYI Right Click + Scroll to switch tabs issues are still there (scrolling page when switching, scroll steps broken, mouse gestures doesn't work after issuing right click + scroll quickly).
-
@peter Not able to confirm it here. What is your OS?

[Regression] Cursor is flickering on text hover (VB-39485)
Not yet fixed. Just try to select text and you will see arrow pointer instead of I while selecting. -
@burbuja: I believe its a odd fix for icon clipping when using horizontal menu strip
-
@13-beta2: and when you keep moving mouse over selected text - it will still flicker, probably on spaces
-
@axk FYI,
chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
does clear the Site and Media Engagement scores. I'm not sure why these stats don't get cleared via Vivaldi's "Clear Private Data" UI but hopefully this will be an easy thing to fix.EDIT: WARNING: Using the Chromium UI works on macOS but can trigger a crash on other platforms.

I second that. If opening a link from an external program with multiple windows open, it still switches focus to another window, and I have to manually switch back to the correct window, but compared to the entire browser crashing, this is a minor annoyance. I also get that use cases where there are multiple windows and opening links from an external program are probably not common, so may not be high on the list of things to fix. Still hoping maybe the fix will slip in prior to 1.15 final.
Also, I appreciate there being a note left that a new snapshot had been released in the old thread.

@gwen-dragon Works on macOS... but thanks for the warning. Forgot that this can be problematic on other platforms.
-
@xyzzy and not only on snapshots.
The current (soon to be previous) stable release is also affected. -
@becm (Sigh) Yeah. Any issues/crashes with the Chromium UI needs to be fixed.
As for the issues with the site/media engagement scores, I don't think it's a huge exposure from a privacy perspective but still, it would be REALLY nice for the Clear Private Data UI to be even more thorough and not leave ANY remnants behind. I'm also really looking forward to the day when everything can be done via the Vivaldi UI and for the Chromium UI to be a distant memory.

How long time aprox think will come the new 1.15 stable ¿? Thanks
