If a pileup of 'mostly working' things makes someone like me even think about alternatives it is something that should be taken serious, I doubt I'm the only one.....
You are not alone. Please do keep posting. Contrary to a single vociferous counter-view here i would like to believe that a majority of other V users appreciate seeing a divergent range of opinions & value-weightings. One non-Dev's non-employee's opinion, notwithstanding how strident & dismissive, is not an official Vivaldi [team/company] view, afaik.

@christoph142 Thank you !!
-
@steffie: I have the hand-pointer over links here (Win 7 32bit)
-
@burbuja Yes but you already did before too, didn't you? Sorry if that's wrong [bad memory; maybe i'm mixing you up with another user].

@raed The main purpose of these Snapshot threads is to report regressions and new bugs. Especially now that they are working towards the final release of Vivaldi 1.15.
It serves no purpose to complain about known issues that are still not fixed. The devs know that they are not yet fixed. Many more important bugs are also not yet fixed.
If any issues marked as fixed for this snapshot are not, in fact, fixed for some users, then this is the right place to mention it
The devs will decide what can be fixed in time for the final release. They have to prioritise important bugs over trivial bugs.

@yamiryuuzero: Which search box do you mean: The one to the left of the address bar or the "find in page" search box?
If the later:
I've just looked through old fixed bugs in the bugtracker and saw that some people - quite a lot in fact - complained about exactly the opposite behavior.I personally prefer that it is kept because I often search for the same terms on different pages, but I can see the usefulness of both behaviors.
Maybe this needs an option so that every user can set it to her/his liking. -
@quhno Yes, it is about the Find in Page behaviour.
- Because it retains the last used search string, it is easy to search for the same string on multiple tabs.
- Each tab remembers its own search string. To change it for another tab, just type a new string
It is not a bug, but works as designed and for good reason.
Note This forum has its own search field that overrides the Find in Page command. If you zoom in too far to see the Find in Page forum field, this can make you think that the Find in Page toolbar command is broken. It is not. I use a second shortcut of "/" for Find in Page to work around that particular issue.

@coaperator: Known as bug VB-39343 - fix is work in progress.
-
'Lazy load restored tabs' option behavior was changed in this snapshot: when enabled it now loads all the tabs one by one and doesn't wait until corresponding tab is activated by user. If this change was intentional (but why?), then i believe it should be made optional (and help texts in settings definitely should be changed).
Also, when 'Lazy load' is turned off and 'Dim Icon when hibernated' tab option is turned on, all the tabs always have "isdiscarded" class which never gets removed. Also, I believe that only graying out icons is not enough for this option: some sites have such icons that looks almost the same in dimmed and active states, so I'd better add some dimming to tab titles too.
And, finally, bug VB-38823 with hand cursor wasn't reliably fixed. It happened for me right now on this page. To get rid of it I had to close this tab and reopen it again: just reloading the page didn't help.
-
Finally, the "Show folder contents" tooltip appearing on page reload bug is fixed!
-
After update Vivaldi did not remember my disabled window-background-image. Is it a bug? Before update the image was selected, but disabled.

VB-38973
Click is fixed for me in multiple systems - but there is a similar issue.
Do you really mean "click" or "dragging the scrollbar"?If the later: Did you move the mouse outside of the window or to the right border of the screen when this happened?
If yes: That one is known as VB-39039
-
After update is sync disabled. It is needed to log-in again.
-
No offense, but when you will release a stable version 1.15? The last stable version is already three months old. We wait quite a long time, considering that it will still not contain synchronization.

@steffie said in HTML5 audio fixes – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.15.1147.19:
nor to D&D images &/or text into active text-input fields
D&D worked perfectly fine for me in the previous snapshot but this one now exhibits the same problem.

@fang The release cycle is about 6-8 weeks. Final 1.14 was released on 31/1/2018 so just 2½ months ago. In the Team Blog it was announced that they are now working on stabilisation towards 1.15, so maybe two more weeks now.
-
@steffie Much better news now ... https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/205226
EDIT: Oh my &*%#@! Less than 5' after i made this original post, V-SS has broken once again. Gahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
-
@mib2berlin Yes ... longterm bug, many many Snapshots.
-
@pesala: Thank you very much for your answer.
-
@fang: actually, 1.14 stable version do has sync function. You need to go the vivaldi://experiments site to open this function.
