Integrated URL Shortener
-
perhaps you all know url shortener like this one or bit.ly
I don't want to discuss the advantages and disadvantages from such shortener services, but because it's a privacy issue, it would be nice, if vivaldi can integrate this feature. either with an own shortener service (vv.di ? ) or with redirect to the most major ones (and because it's vivaldi, you can also add your own services
of course, you have to give your actual url to the service, which you want to use, but it's different to grant the extension full access to your browsing history or to give only one time the link, you want to share.

More useful would be instead of a url shortener a function like this, that reveals what link is hidden behind a shortened url, this would provide more security
(I have it in the webpanel, where you can also put the url shortener)

@catweazle I agree that a web panel or an extension is the best solution for this if one has to redirect to a service for it to work at all.

that's also a good idea, thx!
(btw: the service behind the extension I linked above give you also the possibility to use a bookmark with javascript (I forgot the right term))
