I find the settings as to home page, etc. a bit confusing. As I abhor everything google-related I have set my Homepage to http://www.startpage.com as Specific Pages and instructed the browser to start with my Home Page. In earlier patches including 1.14 "stable" I also needed to set the option Start with->Specific pages-> and add the startpage.com url.
-
I get a lot of "never stops loading" situations. Reddit, Strava, Trakt, Episodecalendar, ... and sometimes even this blog post.
-
@ian-coog
Still crashes here. -
and when you add the option to open a page automatically in incognito mode, it would be faster and more comfortable
-
yupi, integration with IDM works !
-
- Looks like authorization is finally working again. Yay!
- AdBlock Plus is also working correctly.
- So you fixed side panel switch but now Menu bar is on top of fullscreen videos. Just like it was with a switch before.
- Vivaldi still hangs out when I try to go to Vivaldi forum right after update.
-
Huh... looks like regression with spacing over tabs in maximized windows that is present in previous Snapshots will remain with us a bit longer than expected...
-
confirmed, all mega.nz files are downloaded now without crashes
-
@sophos02 worked for me on 2 pcs, download 3 files of more than 100mb and 2 of more than 200mb with no problems in both.
-
@rotfl It's not just spacing, it's the window that it's not maximized sometimes at start, sometimes it gets maximized, out of luck.
Double click the upper bar or f11 twice, for what concerns me, it's the least of the bugs Vivaldi had since 1.14 and I'm just happy that this SS solved many other bigger annoyances. -
Hi guy,
since a few days, vivaldi on my ubuntu (18.04 develop) is crashing the rendering engine, every time its trying to play a video (black screen with dead bird).
I did a full setting reset and all other browsers are working fine, including ¨Chromium Browser¨.
Any suggestions?
-
@eini: Never mind.
Whatever the reason was, a full purge an complete reinstall did the trick. -
@ian-coog Thats all nice and shit but it still crashes 2/2 of my systems (both linux)

@ian-coog Wow. Then i can close bugs.
Maybe you should wait for some more feedback
Edit: a friend just confirmed crash on his W10 installation. So no, i do not think it is fixed.

and we fix some frequently reported bugs....
..yeah that's why [mmb] autoscrolling still selects page content.. and yet works that way it should in every other browser except vivaldi..yeh really fixing them annoying bugs that have been around for over half a year. sure.

All dependencies satisfied, but two attempts still won't have it open up on MX-Linux.
64bit.
-
@sophos02 I have tried on 2 Win7 PCSs, maybe it's still buggy on Win10.
I'll try on monday on another Win10 64bit at office.
I have the mega extension on both Win7 installations, maybe related? -
@danielson: just tried to install Opera and it worked on first try.

Nice work! Finally the magnet links work, at least on 64 bit.
Very happy that this problem was corrected, I was opening another browser just to download a uTorrent file.
