Vivaldi quick fixes – Vivaldi browser Snapshot 1.15.1090.3
-
I like small but frequent fixes
-
With this snapshot, mouse gestures are not working anymore. The problems since 1.13 are getting worse for me with every snapshot.
-
@rhk No such problem here. Check in Settings, Mouse, that they are not disabled, and that the sensitivity is not set too high (5 pixels is the default).
-
Thanks a lot for the contrast adjustment fix thumbs up
-
I'm finding I can't edit cells in Excel Online, and couldn't last snapshot either. I notice that these pages also have the context-menu-offset bug, so I wonder if its related.
(I havent tried this any earlier so can't say for sure if this is a new bug to 1.15)
[Edit] I also notice not being able to use mouse gestures, as @rhk noted earlier in the thread, on excel pages.
-
@pesala My gesture settings are on default. I re-installed 1.15.1090.3 and the mouse gestures seem to be working now.
-
Thanks for the quick fixes.I wanna report that the browser closes instantly when I try to download something from Mega.nz (within the browser). I'll have to use JD 2 by the moment.
-
@infinitephoenix I uploaded an 8 Mbyte file to an ephermeral account (without registering) and downloaded it without issues.
What is the size of the file that you're trying to download? Can you provide a link?
I have seen previous reports. If it is a bug, then it has not been fixed yet or the Blog would have listed it as fixed.
-
@infinitephoenix I encountered the same problem. Vivaldi crashed as soon as I started a download, hold on ... from https://downloads.vivaldi.com/snapshot/Vivaldi.1.15.1090.3.x64.exe
-
@pesala it works for files not larger than 100mb. As soon as I try larger files, sometimes 100 sometimes 200mb, it just crashes as soon the download starts.
It's not predictable, I could download a 120mb file, crashed on a 115mb file and a 220mb file. All smaller files, 10-80mb are downloaded OK.
In my bug report I provided some mega.nz links to try out. -
In this snapshot I'm noticing an intermittent inability to drag on the titlebar of a window when it is in Hide UI mode.
-
@pesala: I've tried it with this file: https://mega.nz/#!sLQHwQzL!zZ_X5UKFeajcbse8KAKkzuuhxCYKXQRJZAqyD3K5p5o It crashed at 800 Kb. The files should be heavier than 100 Mb. The light ones don't show any crashes.

@infinitephoenix
I noticed this some time ago and made a bugreport. The number is VB-36901 but don't think i was the first one to submit a report on this issue so i don't expect to see this number again in fixes
Unfortunately some ARM builds are often stored with mega.nz. -
@infinitephoenix confirmed crash
-
hi . don delete http settings page home

Why can you not use the chromium version numbers? Which Chromium build is this vivaldi snapshot leaning on? I downloaded the chromium snapshot of today - Version 66.0.3341.0 (Utvecklarversion) (64 bitar) - and that one at least opened magnet links, politely asking me which application I would prefer to use to open them. So alongside with these vivaldi version numbers that are nonsensical, pls also in the future tell us which chrome version it follows, so one doesn't have to install malfunctioning snapshots.
-
For when to solve the errors that do not open the associated applications that are in the computer? magnet link torrent does not open the application in computer. gives a type error "ERR_UNKNOWN_URL_SCHEME". The same with the extension "PorPlayer Youtube shortcut" that should open Youtube videos with the player "Potplayer". This error is implicit in the latest revisions and the latest version 14.
Thanks for your work!!

@linfan open menu Help/About and you'll see by yourself in the User Agent string which chromium version it uses
User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/64.0.3282.121 Safari/537.36 Vivaldi/1.96.1090.3

BUG
When watching YouTube video full-screen, Panel Toggle doesn't go away. -
@stardust it's known since last weekend's snapshot. Press f4 in the meantime.
You can read the Snapshot blog announcements next times so you can avoid reporting stuff already known
