[Regression][Linux] Fix maximized state on startup (VB-35145)
Seems to have fixed the same issue for Windows, if that's at all possible.
-
@gigzama not for me in win7 32 bit at least. Sometimes it doesn't start maximized, sometimes it does
-
@ian-coog: Sorry to hear that. I've only seen the broken state twice now: The first time I started the new build, and after I set some flags at vivaldi:flags and restarted the browser. Other than that, so far so good. Windows 10 x64.
-
@gigzama: Pfft...nevermind. Apparently it's more random than that. Back to 1.13 I go.
-
@gigzama Not fixed for me either.

Fix maximized state on startup on Windows please!
-
So no sync? Actually, I can't even seen it on my settings page. I've enabled it from vivaldi://experiments and now it doesn't work. It says failed login.

Obviously not critical, but considering all the dropdown fixes recent builds got, it would seem smart to finally fix VB-36283(I'm sure there are duplicates). I would think there are a fair number of users it would impact considering 'Address Auto-Complete' is annoying but 'Address Field Drop-Down Menu' hasn't worked without auto-complete enabled for a couple of months now. Hopefully when 1.14 releases and users of the Stable branch start complaining somebody will finally realize it's more important than Rearrangeable Search Engines, Vertical Reader Mode, Markdown Formatting in Notes, Movable Web Panels, & the Maximized State on Startup…

Vivaldi Browser Snapshot 1.14.1077.37 Just caused a 'green screen' in Windows 10. I was watching YouTube.
-
@yuyu-k No it doesn't. This thread is for reporting regressions that need fixing before 1.14 final is released. Reverting to an old Snapshot solves nothing.

[Regression][Linux] Fix maximized state on startup (VB-35145)
I don't think this is quite fixed. It seems improved, but it doesn't always work properly. Seems closer to 50/50.
If I maximize the browser, maximize the browser, then restart, sometimes the window appears like it if fullscreen, but is actually still windowed (I can drag the top of the window to resize). I usually have to click the Windowed/Maximize button a couple times to fix it.
This also happens if I open a new window, or open a private window while the browser is running.
This is with 'Remove tab spacing in maximized windows checked'.
