Here are some tips to get you started with your new Webmail interface.
Your personal information
You can edit your name, Reply-to address, and add a signature if you wish.
Go to Settings > Identities
(Settings are via the "wrench" icon on the uppermost toolbar.)
Click on your Identity in the middle column.
In the frame to the right it will show the information fields.
Your recipients will see this information in the headers of the emails that you send them.
Signature
The place to create a signature for your mails is also in the "Identities" settings.
Click Settings, then Identities on the left.
In the right-hand frame you see Settings.
Scroll down to Signature, fill out that field, and click Save at the bottom.
If you want a fancy signature, you can check the box labeled "HTML signature" and use the editor.
Which buttons do what?
The labels are not shown by default.
Hover your mouse pointer over each button to see its description.
Here is a quick overview:

If you want your mailbox to have a different look, you can change the "skin".

Let's change the skin for your Desktop computer (this includes laptops).
[ul]- Go to the Settings (click on the wrench icon on the uppermost toolbar)
- Click "User Interface".
- Scroll down in the Main Options frame until you see "Interface skin".
- Click on the link/name of the Desktop skin named "Litecube".
- You get a popup with several choices.
- Click on "Larry" for example, if you want to see big buttons with text labels.
- Then hit the "Save" button at the bottom.

- Repeat these steps to make new changes if you wish.

Import your contacts to the address book
First, export your contacts to vCard or CSV format.
Then go to your Vivaldi Mail, and go to the Address Book.
Click on the button to the far left, "Import contacts".
Follow the instructions there to upload your vCard or CSV file and Import it.
Customized mail, Compose HTML mail
The default in Vivaldi mail is set to compose plain text emails.
To change this, go to your Settings > Preferences > Composing Messages.
In the right frame, under Main Options, you'll see "Compose HTML messages".
Choose your option there from the drop-down list.

Cool! Awesome! Thanks, Debbie!
I already slapped on a skin on my Vivaldi Mail.I haven't decided if I'll use a Signature yet.
If it was just for my use within Vivaldi, I'd whip up something quirky right away. But, it's also going to be where my oldest sister E-mails me. So, I have to behave. -
davesnothere, at the moment we have Classic, Larry, and Litecube for desktop. And Litecube made for phone and tablet.

35Mb for sent or received or both messages ?
100 messages par day = 2 messages to 50 contacts per day ?

35 each

Yes. But we can increase this limit. What would be realistic?

To be able to use Vivaldi.net like any other mail provider, I really need the ability to create message filters, to keep my inbox clean and my messages organized. Is that already possible with Vivaldi, or is it on the roadmap?
-
Message filters are on the roadmap. So are identities, but that's further along.

Compete with Gmail and Google Apps for example:
http://googlesystem.blogspot.com/2008/06/gmails-limitations-for-sending-messages.html
http://google.wikia.com/wiki/Gmail_sending_limit
http://stackoverflow.com/a/18361598/1697Yahoo:
https://help.yahoo.com/kb/yahoo-business-mail/SLN17518.html?impressions=trueHotmail (assuming that's up to date and assuming that the outlook.com servers are the same)
http://email.about.com/od/windowslivehotmailtips/qt/How_Many_Emails_You_Can_Send_from_Win_Live_Hotmail_per_Day.htmThink fastmail does it by bandwidth instead.
Whole list on this page:
500 per day would be a good start. Then, time will tell if that's too restrictive.
Would also be nice if you're sending the same message to multiple people (via To, CC, Bcc header) that they don't all count as 1 each. Still have a restriction on how many you can send to at a time though.
Is the limit to stop spam or to limit bandwidth with the SMTP server? If just the former, I suggest being a little lenient at first to see how things go as I'm sure most of us here aren't spammers.

Thanks Debbie for the CSV info above.
On another note, would it be possible to allow Vivaldi to export to CSV as well? Vcard export seems like the only choice. Having CSV export would be really useful.
