@mtaki14: What you mean by fuzzy search? How do you see it could work? If you mistype a letter, still the result should be found? I am not sure if this is practical usage of fuzzy search, would return unwanted results. Whereas you can always correct your mistyped letter.

@sjudenim: What is the issue number? Have you provided steps and have you tried it on a clean install? Sounds like an issue that may be hard to reproduce...
-
@wojcieche: Thanks!

Vivaldi starts lagging after 6 tabs open.
Please please please work on speed and optimization. Some suggestions are take out the lines of code that make the browser have jank!
I really like this browser so if you guys can make it lightweight itd be nice!
-
@wojcieche: Fuzzy as you can type things in any order or with missing parts and still get results. Like "Vivaldi Star Page" return this page. Currently you need to match the phrase exactly. Quite sure there's an open request in the Bug Tracker.
-
@OrangeIsMe That's strange, here it works on my stable version. Have you changed another setting? Maybe it conflicts. If you did try toggling it back to see if it works, then the team will be able to fix it.
-
I have reported it to the bug tracker but don't have the number.
It's simple to reproduce. I use thumbnail tabs on the left and use the speed dial as my start page. From a cold start, the thumb never loads (stays white) until the page is changed

@jasonjosephnyc: Noice! Very Noice!

@axander I used a completely different computer over the weekend (also Win7, though 32bit, and otherwise completely different - much older - hardware) and can therefore kind of third my and your observation. It happened there, too.
(Also, I still can't use the comments box on the blog itself, only the forum.)

because you're blocking third party cookies in settings, hence you can't log in, blog is on vivaldi.com while comments are using forum from vivaldi.net

@wojcieche: Mistypes are the least of my concerns to be honest. The way searching through history/bookmarks works now is that it looks for a match of the typed text inside the title/url. This is fine but it certainly can be improved further.
Let's take this basic use case as an example. Let's say you want to quickly bring up some past articles and/or bookmarks about AMD's Ryzen processors that you've been researching the past week. Typing "Ryzen" currently will bring up a list of sites that you have visited or bookmarked that are concerned with "ryzen". But what if you want to further refine the results and list only articles from Arstechnica. Typing "ryzen arstechnica" should be able to do just that since both keywords "ryzen" and "arstechnica" are part of the title and/ or the url. At the moment writing these two words like this will bring up no results.
This is a very basic example but I hope it helps with understanding the possibilities that open up with an implementation as described.

@ian-coog: Huh. That seems to have been it. Thanks!

I really wish there was a way to bulk revert back to the default thumbnails that Vivaldi provides with their fresh installs of the browser
Or better yet an option to default websites (that are supported) to using a logo/brand thumbnail over a website snapshot where available.

Any chance could we get the HEX colour codes combo to recreate the Vivaldi Stars theme exactly?
https://vivaldi.com/press/wallpapers/vivaldi-stars.jpg
Making available those dark themed speed dial thumbnails would also be awesome

I am sorry. I do not speak english, but I like Vivaldi. -
@wojcieche @GAJ Thank you! I'll try this.
I was worried that my old profile would be lost. -
