run-on-click for all plug-ins and media
Especially including flash because that is one thing I certainly do not want to activate in general but that one cannot deactivate 24/7 for probably years to come -
displaying bars side by side
Fully configurable interface or just a bookmark menu obviously seem to much asked for, but perhaps you could give us an option to display the bookmarkbar beside a slightly shortened adress bar? A one folder short bookmark bar not requiring additional window height would be almost as good as the bookmark menu that is apparently impossible to create. -
option to show closing (and minimising) button outside the tab
For heavy multi tabers tab bar real estate becomes a short supply really fast. So anything moved out of this bar is a good thing and having the closing button (and the one for soon to be installed tab minimising!) at a fixed place e.g. beside the adress bar or in the menu bar (for people you like to have a full menu, like me) is also very convenient when closing multiple tabs in quick order. -
Implement a tracking and polling system for requests
Now this has nothing to do with Vivaldi itself, but these feedback threads are enormously inconvenient, I guess for both sides. 1.10 is not even six hours old (remember: working people will often not find time for qualified statements before the weekend) and already this thread is longer than most people are willing to read. And almost all of the entries so far are old requests that you claim to have read and evaluated every single time the were made.
How about providing us with a list of suggestions taken notice off and stating their current priority? Then we could after every new release simply down/upvote what we find still/newly important and would only have to write down completely new suggestions. And you would only have to read those. And it would be much more unlikely that one suggestion would be made 20 times in a single suggestion thread, each time getting 10 upvotes, but ultimately staying unnoted because it was not posted in the first 10 minutes where it could get a 50-upvotes-possible position on page 1. -
Add support for mnemonic shortcuts.
See this post for more details. -
@dLeon
Okay, I did not check systematicaly for content types, so maybe some issues where due to the chromium base (which does not improve the situation for users ;-)). I just noticed that on many sides Opera classic would allow me to decide whether or not to run a certain element (especially adds), while Vivaldi would either start automatically or just display whiteness. I just stuck to opera for all those sites without further analysis, though things get outdated fast anyway with more and more websites rolling out either html5 or plug ins depending on browser. (Until recently for example youtube embedded links, e.g. https://www.youtube.com/v/MSNf1C6kaP8, would not work at all in Vivaldi if flash was not permanently activated, but now they will only rollout html5 when using Vivaldi, while Opera classic displays plug-in toggle for flash)adding another suggestion:
0 day browsing history
Right now I can select any timespan between "1 day" and "forever" for browsing history to be archived, but on a PC by multiple household members, 24 hours is already a long time. How about saving browsing history "not at all"? -
Vertical list tab cycler.
Just like O12, Vivaldi should have a vertical list tab cycle that displays your tabs vertically, and can be cycled through with our custom keyboard shortcuts. It'd also be nice to display the thumbnails on the side. Basically a vertical list tab cycle that mimics O12's in every way.
-
Better Smooth Scrolling.
It would be great if Vivaldi could break further away from Chromium and develop it's own smooth scrolling that is as good as Safari or Edge.
-
Better Font Rendering.
Chromium's font rendering is really not as good as Firefox's, Safari's, Edge's, or O12's. It would be great if Vivaldi could break away from Chromium in this regard by creating it's own better font rendering that is smooth and professional.

Multiple bookmarks edit
Sometimes sites add (or delete) support https or change domain name.

Option to Tile Fixed Tab.
You can tile two tabs together right now, which is great, but what about tiling one fixed tab that stays in place even after closing multiple tabs beside it, and keeping that fixed tab tiled until you turn it off? That would be a useful feature. It could be used to watch a video while reading something, or for reading two things, or comparing information to other information for more than 2 tabs, etc. It could be pretty useful.
-
Editable tabs width
-
Multi rowses tabs panel (as in Vivaldihooks)
-
More Theme Customizations.
It would be great if we could set, for example, the border-radius of our theme as universal or default, so we could look at all our rounded corners as 4px instead of some. It'd be nice if the edges of the icons(back, forward, fast forward, rewind, refresh, home, bookmark, down arrow, trash can, new tab, panel buttons, find in page buttons etc. etc.) could also become rounded at our will for those of us who like the friendlier, modern appearance. Or to be able to set our own images as the icons, to create our own icons, and create our own skin.
-
Better Autocomplete.
I find autocomplete is a feature that really needs attention right now. When you write an URL, it'll often suggest a sub-domain first instead of the main URL. And when you type a letter, like "f", and you would see facebook.com as that's an URL you type a lot, it usually autocompletes slowly compared to other browsers like Firefox and Opera. Autocomplete is basically still sluggish, and I think some attention should be placed to improve it.

Why not set the default empty "Close Tabs to the right/left" & "Close other tabs" shortcuts? Not sure what issue you are adressing. Tab minimising? This cannot be replaced by advanced closing as it is especially about keeping a tab open, just not in full view.
To give you an example I frequently encounter during investigation:- tab 1 (a wiki page) is open and active
- four links get opened "in the background". tab 2, 3 and 4 contain probably relevant information. tab 5 is some stuff I want to look at much later
- to access tab 2 I minimise tab 1 (Opera) or click on tab 2 (Vivaldi)
- tab 2 is uninteresting. I close it and Opera displays tab 3. For Vivaldi to do so, I must have chosen "activate tab to the right" as general setting on close.
- tab 3 looks okay, but I want to look at tab 4 before going into detail, so I click tab 4
- tab 4 is bullshit and gets closed. Opera now displays tab 3 (tab 5 is still in the background, tab 1 is minimised). Vivaldi opens unwanted tab 5, because it is "to the right".
While this detailed expanation contains a lot of writing, it hardly encompasses 10 seconds of activity. And it is a fairly simply example, in reality I will often open 20 to 50 tabs (sometimes over a 100) and sort them quickly into useless (close) and needs a second look (minise). Or I open 10 tabs, start sorting them as above and then open a new link halfway through, but want to return to my original task when closing this intermission. All this is possible in Vivaldi, but it does requiere a different tabsetting every time.
I also often compare nonadjacent tabs by quickly switching between them (clicking the tab in the tabbar will select it in Opera or minimise it, when it was already selected => ready made toggle switch between that task and which ever you looked at before). This is completely impossible in Vivaldi, I have to drag the tabs next to each other and switch back an forth. Which is easy to do in a 5 tab example, but hazardous if you have opened 10 tab groups with two to 5 tabs each.BTW: tab minimising also works great with tiled tabs, because one active/2nd last active tab can simply stay untouched in front of all other tabs.

Ability to add/move/remove buttons and UI elements.
For example, being able to remove the buttons to the left of the address bar, or the V button, or the new tab and trash icons, the bookmark icons, etc. etc. would be a good start. Another crucial addition would be the ability to place tabs below the address bar, for those that have been waiting for it(I also want it just to see if it looks good that way). Moving panel buttons would be great too, and being able to add some of the status bar buttons to the top bar such as the camera button, page actions, and zoom slider, would also be great.
-
Option for first tabs to take up the entire tab bar.
If you look at browsers like Safari, you'll see tabs take up the tab bar whether there is one tab, or there are two tabs, three, four, etc. This option would at least be neat, and can be kind of immersive.
-
Option to center address bar.
Some browsers, like Brave and Safari, have a centered address bar that doesn't take up the whole width of the UI bar. It takes up only the amount of space needed, while leaving plenty of space for buttons and so on. I find this to be a really neat way of laying things out, and it also looks good. If we could at least have the option of doing this, that would be great.

Add this option in the web panel, show the number of unread messages as shown in the tab, it would be great to have this also in the web panel.
Currently it shows, but it is not in real time as it happens in the tabs. Image
