Looking forward to yet another great Vivaldi release... Thanks!

Regression
In the side panel of the bookmarks when the list is very long and you press the right button of mouse, the view is moved all the up. -
@Folgore101 confirmed, very annoying, luckily I don't need to edit bookmarks often
-
@Folgore101 Seems to be fine for me on OS X. I've tried with both a mouse and trackpad... and my Unfiled folder has A LOT of bookmarks.
-
@xyzzy must be windows only, win7 here
-
-
why are there more than 2 old version folders?
this increases also much (unnecessary) space from my harddrive
Win7x64 Vx64

"[Regression] History search field focus (VB-29205)"
What a luck, I almost reset my profile because it annoyed me that much. But I think it can be improved by setting the focus automatically to the search field when opening the history -
Now I tried changing the sort type and it doesn't happen anymore. I had Sort by Title, descending. After changing to unsorted (manually sort) it doesn't happen. I'll try restarting Vivaldi and retry if it happens only once restarted...
Edit: Exactly as I suspected. After Vivaldi restarted, I open the bookmarks panel, it's set to sort by title, scroll to bottom, rclick and the list goes to the top by itself. Change again sort manually, go bottom, rclick, it's steady.
It happens if you select any sort type, restart Vivaldi and see.
-
@folgore101: For me it's happening in the bookmarks tab and in the panel, but in the bookmarks tab only when the right mouse button is pressed while hovering over a folder. I'm using Win7 64bit with Vivaldi 32bit.
-
@derDay It's being like this since forever, Vivaldi Installers most of the time fail to delete old versions. Delete manually them and keep only the new one.
It happens since 1.0, and I am infact very amused when it actually manages to clean up correctly previous version, it's like winning the lottery. -
@xyzzy:
I have the problem on:
Win7 32bit + Vivaldi 32 bit, Win10 64bit + Vivaldi 64bit and Win10 64bit + Vivaldi 32bit -
@Folgore101 see my reply to @QuHno, it happens if you have any sort type, change to sort manually and it works. At least I can reproduce it reliably.
-
@ian-coog:
I confirm that it only happens with "Sort By Title". If you change sort order and then return to Sort by title the problem seems to be resolved but if you restart Vivaldi will reappear. -
@iAN-CooG Confirmed. Setting 'Sort by...' triggers this glitch on OS X too. Was just about to post my finding but you beat me to it!!
-
@gwen-dragon: perfect
@iAn CooG: didn't noticed this before (but I don't look every time in the program folder) -
@xyzzy: Other discovery, if i open the bookmarks tab (Ctrl+B), everything works properly until you restart Vivaldi.
But does this error already have a VB number? Do I open one?
-
@Folgore101 Sorry, I don't know... I don't have access to the bug tracker.
Edit:
@Gwen-Dragon Thanks for looking it up! -
@gwen-dragon: Noted! Thanks to everyone here for identifying the steps to reproduce! Good job.
