@veris Welcome to the community, but please read the first post in this thread. Upvote existing feature requests, but if you don't find what you want with a search, make one new post for each feature request.

Custom Thumbnails for Speed Dial
There's an icon at bottom right of each of your posts with three blue vertical dots. That can be used to edit posts at any time, but you may need some reputation points before being allowed to edit posts.

Add download speed graph

Hi
I wonder if some bug or limitation comes from limitations in Chromioum engine, requesting to solve that problem in Vivaldi is related to here or not.
For example, a common problem with all Chromioum based browsers is unreliable downloads. Means if your resumable download stops few times (mostly 3-4 times) because of your connection problem(Disconnecting as an example), normally you cannot resume download anymore which is a disaster. I saw this problem in Vivaldi, but it seems this problem comes from Chromioum engine because Chrome itself has this problem too. -
All major browsers have moved the menu button to the right.
Usability is improved with the placement on right.
Please allow moving the V menu to the far right corner, like all modern browsers -
Concatenate Commands
e.g. Back | Close page
When there is no page to go back to, the back command closes the page.
-
It would also be really good to be able to create NEW keyboard shortcuts. At the moment, from what I see, we can only change existing ones, but not create new commands. Or am I missing something? There is no "new" keyboard shortcut button that I can see.
-
In addition it should be possible to have settings for a path, not only for a domain. In Vivaldi you can only switch Javascript on/off for www.example.com. In Opera 12 you can do this for www.example.com/foo as well.
-
First of all, I'm extremely happy to know that this browser exists :D. I go full circle apparently, back to Opera (after ~5 years of FireFox).
Can you please make it so Vimium keyboard shortcuts also work in the Start Page?
-
@Axonn Single-key shortcuts already do work in the Start page, but initial focus is on the URL field for typing web address, nicknames, or searches. Press the default F9 shortcut first to focus the Speed Dial page, or set your own shortcut. Obviously, a single-key shortcut won't work as it will just type in the URL field.

Add more, drawning options for mouse gestures. I think, not only horizontal and vertical lines, but also oblique, or circles, and etc.
Like this:

"Borrow" one of my most-loved features of Opera Browser, the search/copy on highlighted text.
As soon as you highlight any text, you get a popup above the text that you can simply click to perform the action. It is brilliant.

@Tiamarth Thanks for the link. The bookmarks are kinda half there, since they can't be right clicked on the menu to sort or delete them, but it's much better than nothing. Is there something like this that would add sorting bookmarks by name to the default Vivaldi bookmarks page?
-
@Viryu @Viryu Unless you're on a particularly old version for some reason, the native bookmarks in Vivaldi can already be sorted by name. There should be a thin bar near the top of the bookmarks panel that says "Sort Manually" or "Sort by ___" you can just click on that and choose "Sort by Title." And a similar bar on vivaldi://bookmarks that should let you sort by name, address, nickname, or description.

Vivaldi Hooks' bookmarks menu simply inherits the setting from there.

@Pesala Nice feature. Could also be useful to have "AND" in addition to "OR".
Example: "Close Page & Switch to previous tab"
--> would close the current page and switch to the left tab. I used to do it with Opera 12 (through mouse gesture), and assigning the opposite one (close current and switch to right tab) to same gesture but in opposite direction. I liked this config! -
It would be nice to have a pseudo-fullscreen option for tiled tabs. That is to say, when you do something like putting a video into fullscreen, if it is tiled, it would only fill its tiled space instead of actually going fullscreen.
At the moment, there's a hackneyed way of doing this for some of the tiles, but it will give you a better idea of what I'm talking about. Open a few of videos on youtube and tile them. Put one fullscreen, and then the rest; then take the first one off fullscreen. The other videos will still fill their tiled space.

Usage 'heatmap' for bookmarks page.
Interesting. I'd not like to see the hierarchical bookmark structure replaced but a new heatmap panel for bookmarks would be very cool. I wonder it it would be useful? I think it would.

@CheVe11e_191 I really want diagonal moves. They are much easier for me to make (easier due to physical disability and less that perfect mouse control).
-
Ctrl-P and Ctrl-N to navigate up/down in quick commands. I'm so used to those

I would like to be able to tell Vivaldi in what order it should show entries in the address bar popup list. I do NOT want Search to be the first option. As a matter of fact, I'd like to remove "Search" from the list entirely. The first option should be "Typed", then "History" and only after this "Bookmarks" (because I already can access my Bookmarks quite easily, when I type there what I'm interested in is history & previously typed). Users should be able to specify in what order should the entries appear in that list.
