Feature requests for 1.9 / 1.10

I would love to drag and drop Items from the downloadlist into folders on my desktop.
Also a Chrome feature i used alot was the autoexecution, once the download finished, when clicking the download item in the list.
An Option to delete the item from the list AND the file would be great too.

The right click menu of Screen Caputure. I think some users want to use screen caputure by right click menu.

Beside
-Destroy site's cookies after you close the tab
-Destroy site's cookies after you close the browser
-Never destroy cookies for this siteI would suggest an further option:

Would like to have a way to exclude domains or written URLs in the new History page.
Having a way to write a search that excludes would be the first step. Either a checkbox beside the search box or an old school way of using operators in the string.
Right clicking on a URL and excluding it would be the second convenience.
When using Google Maps it loads the history up. So I don't just want to exclude google.com, but google.com/maps/

If I understand you rightly, wouldn't browsing those sites in a private window solve the problem?

@kyu3a For inspiration the team could look at Opera's Neon which has the bottom screenshot verbatim. It also provides the ability to do PiP for HTML5 videos.

Better favicon support for web panels. Right now it always puts a white badge behind the favicon where the tab bar does not.
Also, some site's favicons never stick to the panels and require a reload every time the browser is opened.
Have this issue for me.
-
@Pesala That seems like a hack more than anything else. Someone shouldn't have to remember to always use Maps in private, just for the off case they might want to browse their history later. If the search can filter down on specific results, it can easily do the same for exclusion.

@Omen_20 I agree, that Vivaldi needs some work for Web panel favicons. But previously I had the same issue and I've figured out how to keep favicons after restarting Vivaldi. You just need to use correct URLs. Especially the correct protocol (http/https) is important.
For Twitter I have just tried this URL, and the favicon is not blank after Vivaldi's restart, it's only changing a bit after loading:
https://mobile.twitter.com/home (mobile version).
For Medium try https://medium.com/ (mobile version)
For getpocket - https://getpocket.com/ (mobile version)Some other URLs I'm using and have no problem with favicons:
https://keep.google.com/ (desktop version)
https://translate.google.com/m/translate (desktop version)
https://www.youtube.com/ (mobile version)
https://www.messenger.com/ (desktop version) also see this. -
I'm using Vivaldi - a few days now, intensively, it's pretty terrific. Like Opera used to be before suddenly turned into anti-Opera.
The only problem is tab size. Too many tabs - and they shrink until it's almost impossible to hit the tab and not the "close tab" "x", which, of course, does NOT shrink.
What I'd love is the option to set a minimum tab size - and if there are too many to fit on the screen at that size, they'd scroll, a la Firefox. I don't love tab grouping (although I do like the idea of having the option). I can find work-arounds, but it would be nicer to have a setting. Other people seem to have the same issue - why not introduce the option?
Let me add in advance - there is no such thing as "a problem with too many tabs." A large number of tabs is a good thing, something I want, it is productive for me. The question is concerns only the range of methods a browser offers for handling them.
Thanks for your brilliant work! -
Integration of side notes with IFTTT/Zapier/Microsoft's new svc so can choose what svc want to integrate w/ (e.g., Evernote, Trello, Todoist, a million others), and how to integrate. Ppl love them some IFTTT, would bring in a ton of new users. And save me from using two extra extensions and a newtab page.
@DamanGoldberg already suggested (/post/125639):
Export Notes to either of Keep, OneNote, Evernote, PDF, LibreOffice, etc. Also, printing using system dialog without manual Copy/Paste.

I think ppl have been clamoring for this for at least a year? Any idea about whether will be implemented/when? Thanks!

Three requests:
-
Main window border -> switch in settings to enable/disable main window border. Working on big screen with multiple windows which has white background ano border is mostly annoying. I know I can enable it by editing css but this is not very comfortable doing on every new release. Also if border is enabled, it is not possible to move window from border (1px space)
-
Fav icons -> imported bookmarks doesn't get favicons, before I firstly visit them
-
Mouse hovering over folders on bookmark bar -> it is needed to click if you want to navigate between different folders on bookmark bar. On Opera mouse hover works.

@Omen_20 @RammsteinAM this problem has seemed to fix itself with the latest Snapshot (1.9.811.13), well for me anyway

Sortable web panels
@huy.dinh said in [Feature request] Sortable web panels:
Doesn't anyone ever feel like they want to sort or shuffle around their web panels, because of some OCD tendencies which demand that a certain panel needs to be above/below another certain one?
Or is there a not-so-intuitive workaround for this already? "Simple" drag and drop does not work and neither does pressing down some Magic Keys whilst trying to drag and drop web panels.

Web panel icon/button vertical scroll
Yes while the alternative is to just disable some of your less used web-panels I feel it would be ideal if when the panel is focused as a whole you can cycle through all your web panel icons with both a scroll of the mouse wheel or with UP / DOWN arrow keys.
BUG: this suggestion would fix a bug I've noticed when too many web panels are loaded they get pushed outside of screen and the + becomes inaccessible due to being pushed down the screen too much...

@onenil The answer is: when it's ready. But they're working on it already.
