Make different skins or themes available by Vivaldi or the community
I loved Opera 12 because it offered skins that completely changed the size, color and overall appearance of the tabs and toolbar function buttons. Opera's community site had over 100 to choose from. You could also pick a skin and then choose a different "set" of unique toolbar buttons. The appearance of my Opera 12 undoubtedly was one of a kind.

@ddferrari: What you ask for is planned. And I think you dropped a zero in your recollection of the Opera community site. As I recall there were over 1,000 of them.

Make Speed-Dial thumbnails display site name more prominently
In Opera 12, the speed-dial thumbnails seemed to zoom in on the site's name automatically, making it easy to spot at a glance. Example: if I added CNN to speed-dial, the CNN logo (on the page) filled most of the thumbnail. Same with youtube, etc. In Vivaldi, the thumbnail is a full screenshot, so the site's name is tiny and isn't very easy to spot.
Yes, I realize the names of the sites are displayed below the thumbnail- but if I'm going to have to read text to find the site I want, then that defeats the purpose of having a "speedy" thumbnail!

@Ayespy Awesome! Yes, I thought there were hundreds at least, but I didn't want to sound like I was exaggerating.

@GBB Vivaldi has that feature: click Vivaldi menu/hover over edit/Find in page

Download dialog box open option
I remember that this browser had this option initially. I ask that, when you download a file, the option "Open" in the dialog box should:- Save the file in a temporary folder
- Open the file
- Erase it when the the file is closed
Besides, I once suggested that this setting could be optional, that is, you can choose in Preferences how you want the options in the download box to work. That way, nobody would be negatively affected by the new option and the only ones who'd activate it would be the ones who prefer it.
This would make the browser even more customizable and many people, including me, would start to use the browser which seems to represent what they think a browser should be like.

@ddferrari I mean, darker the whole page to make highlight more identical.

Bookmark Toolbar Context Menu
- Right-click to edit bookmarks on the toolbar that are placed inside of a folder. As of right now, it just opens the link in new tab.
Display Page URLs in "domain > title" format
- Directly in the URL bar, similar to Yandex. It really gives it that "clean" feeling.
-
Option to disable Reload feature in Speed Dial which reloads all thumbnails at once.
-
Column view in Bookmark Manager
like finder in macOS -
@GBB Ah, OK.
-
Add the ability to copy selected tabs url's
-
More popup descriptions in settings
Makes it a lot easer for novices to get into the browser,
maybe even add a little animation telling them that hovering over a setting tells them more about it at first launch -
Option to disable default text selection within a link, i.e. the Select-Like-A-Boss extension bundled starting with 1.8 (VB-9048).
I primarily open links by dragging them using appropriate extensions (especially useful on touchpads), and the new feature really conflicts with that. That said, I think the new 1.8 behavior is a sensible default for most users.

at tiled tab stacks mode, a link could be drag to another tiled tab to instantly open it, really need this feature

The new History is awesome, how about tracking:
-
Time the page left/closed
-
Time the page was open in the active tab while Vivaldi has focus (attempt to detect the time spent actively browsing the page)
Once those stats are recorded somewhere, the kinds of personal analytics that could be generated would be great. I'd like to be able to go into my browser history and generate a report for example that tells me, for the past X number of days, I spent so much time on site A with text B in the URL/Page title. That would be epic.

IPFS Support
The Beaker Browser is a good reference implimentation, and, for Vivaldi's more technically adept audience I think this would bring in some new faces and maybe even make the news, like vivaldi did when it was fresh on the scene
-
@gaelle Option for auto-generated Speed Dial shortcuts based on usage frequency. No more manually adding your favorite sites.
-
Improved Speed Dial thumbnails by using favicon or auto-generating a text-based icon (as in Opera 44). Popular sites could use an pre-made icon. The mini screenshots are unattractive and hard to differentiate at a glance.
