Thanks! Translation - Czech - images context menu - wrong captions "Open image in new (private) window"
-
Thanks!
Day by day it gets better.
Congratulations! -
Thank you for the awesome update. Would you please integrate a function to assign a custom image to the speed dial entries? Thanks
Have a nice weekend. You guys deserved it.Greetings from Germany

@kenedz: changed to the right translation should be fine with the next update.
Thanks for noticing. It's a string inherited from Chromium. Those strings still need some check and it's still work in progress as it's new for devs and translators.
-
@ahoj1234: Some more fixes made.
@kenedz: Thanks for reporting. Also you can use the separate thread for this (in the future) here: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/12451/překlad/17
Thanks! -
Why does the address bar still auto completes to some bookmark even though it has been ticked off? It should show the base address first IMO.
-
Unbelievable

You guys are my #1 browser these days. Starting to remind me of old Opera again. I know you can't use the presto engine. Understandable since Chromium works well. The browser doesn't feel like Chrome. I love it.
The moment you guys get that Mail client working, I'll be one happy-ass camper. I would ask if you could implement RSS support, but I realize this is 2017 and many websites don't use it anymore.
Keep up the good work, guys!

[Settings] Allow disabling of Widevine (VB-26423)
[Settings] Allow disabling of Flash (VB-24611)
[Settings] Allow disabling of the internal PDF viewer (VB-24617)For just a millisecond when I saw these I thought the next line was going to mention "HTML5." Hopefully Google gets around to doing that too so it can be surfaced in Vivaldi. Surely they realize by now that it's just as big an autoplay problem as Flash was. There is an old extension that kinda-sorta helps in the meantime.
vivaldi://newtab shows Google page (VB-3112)
Now it seems to do nothing. Is it supposed to open a Start page?
-
@serpher: We're currently looking into improving this behavior. Stay tuned.
-
@dleon: Nice. Stupid question: I cannot find the plugin page anymore. vivaldi://plugins does not work either. Is it gone?
-
@SteveKong yes, chrome removed that page, Vivaldi restored the ability to disable them in the settings from this snapshot (Settings/Webpages/Plugins)

Another stepping stone on our way to a great 1.8 final, today’s snapshot includes improvements to history, new settings, and fixes for some annoying regressions.
Great, I'll leave a point that in my opinion Vivaldi does not want to be exactly the adblock, I saw that there is a project about it but it is forgotten.

[Bookmarks] Always show details in the panel (VB-23752)
Ugh... I need to get used to this.Thumbnails for the speed dial bookmarks! Interesting... someone was asking for bookmark thumbnails.
-
Since a few Versions I can't close Vivaldi via ALT+F4. I can't assign that shortcut, because the settings window will get closed...
What about the update dialog. None of the buttons can be activated via space bar... some weird behavior here...
-
Thanks Slider on left bookmark panel back ...makes things SO much easier!!!!!
-
@kenedz: I have to edit my statement.
Just a few minutes ago I received a message that Chromium strings will not be updated before 1.8 stable. Thus this issue will be addressed after 1.8. (early 1.9 builds). But it's fixed internally, don't worry -

Do it anyway. Although the Settings dialogue does get closed, the shortcut is still assigned. Open Settings again to see the result.

vivaldi://newtab now goes to Vivaldi's Speed Dial like it's supposed to, but it still shows the Google favicon.

I love the work going into things like the history page, but I feel the new history page is a bit sluggish. When I search for all my history, it's pretty sluggish. When I search my history for today only, it's a little faster, but still sluggish. Searching all history in the history panel is much faster, but stutters to show the final results in all history.
Other parts of the UI like Quick Commands are also very sluggish.
Other than that, good work on the development.
