A historic snapshot – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.8.770.9

Very good update.
Now I do not want to clear my history using CCleaner !I love to have have two Vivaldi browsers side by side (Regular and Snapshot) by default. I have learned from the forum how to do this my self. One standalone and another for all users. But I prefer this to be implemented by default so that I can install both of them as it is.
-
@shoust: This was known before this release. They decided not to hold up the Snapshot for it.
-
I love the history page and panel working together so seamlessly. This makes Vivaldi feel more like a complete browser.
Is there also the possibility of an internal downloads page, and maybe even an internal notes page?
-
@D0J0P: There's an internal downloads page. There's no internal notes page. Don't know if the devs would be interested in added that as a page or not.

an internal notes page
That's not a bad idea - why don't you post it in the Feature Request thread?
-
A space without any information, is it purposive or an error?
In the History panel, bookmarks and notes.
Edited: Panels are not adjusting when the interface is not 100% zoom.
I use 75%, historical panel, bookmarks and notes are leaving spaces.
@shoust Made a comment about it!
Bookmarks panel
History panel with blank space, no information. The history tab does not show the information right when the interface is not 100% zoomed, I use 75% and it is not showing the information completely.
History panelVery good update! Many parts have been translated into Brazilian Portuguese, thank you!
-
Thank you for the snapshot!
I think some things got lost in translation. The History page and features are great! but the only place I can find that has the "Sort" function for the bookmarks is on the Bookmark Bar.
For some reason, the Bookmark page is locked in a scrollable section of the page that can't be changed/dragged and most of my bookmarks are below its lower "edge":-Windows 10 Pro x64 | Vivaldi x64

Wow that looks insane, not much of a history user myself, didn't even know I wanted those features until I saw them.
It truly is insane. And they want to improve it! I'm a person who has a bad habit of living in the future rather than the now, but funnily I make a lot of use of history. I love it.

Was thinking mail...all I can say is WOW. Never thought of this will have to use, looks great!
-
@pesala: Are you launching Opera 12.17 just for emails or use it for browsing as well instead of Vivaldi?
-
Looks good
I like the monthly calendar, favicons and the bookmark / padlock icons in front of the url.
- The entries column doesn't update, if i click on a day in the monthly calendar. It shows the first day of the month each time.
- And switching between the month could be easier. I found the buttons for it, but it's not very intuitive. Maybe show the last / next days from the old / next month instead of a placeholder, if the (week) row isn't full. It could be greyed out, but makes it easier to navigate through the months.
- The list and day view doesn't have a mousover that shows the full url.
- It would be better if i'm able to change the width of the columns in the list and day view.

@dLeon ,
Thank you, I've already tried disabling the extensions and a new profile is no different, just no bookmarks.
I hate say it because so much time and effort has been put into the Panel but I only use the Bookmark page from the New Tab/Speeddial, I don't use the Bookmark sidebar/panel/wotsit/thingy because it annoys me.
Right-click a bookmark in the Bookmark Panel currently opens the link instead of a useful right-click menu; the Panel itself is too narrow and dragging it wider makes all of the other Panel items wide too and it occasionally resets itself back to the default width at random times so I just quit using it and used the Bookmark page. All-in-all, the Bookmark page was preferable until it got encapsulated with a scrollbar.

@mtaki14 I launch it daily as it checks my personal email account automatically. Webmail I can check from Vivaldi, but I still use Opera 12.17 for a few other things:
- Open in menu for testing web pages in different browsers
- Middle-click paste and go
- Launching rarely used applications with mnemonic shortcuts, e.g. B,M to launch BabelMap (only frequently used applications are pinned to the Start Menu, and finding an application in the full list takes longer than switching to Opera 12.17 and using my shortcut.
- Image context menu to inspect image properties
- I have a Beta forum pinned open in an Opera Tab so I don't need to waste a tab for that in Vivaldi as I don't visit it every day.
-
I loved that update! Thx!
-
Right-click on an empty spot in the Bookmark Bar produces a right-click menu: New folder | Sort (with a fly-out menu) | Paste
-
Heya!
I would love for the history panel to remember my settings (it always starts at the default - "day" and I want "list", info disabled). Also, would like an option to have all days except current - collapsed at start.
