A fresh makeover - Vivaldi forum gets a new look
-
Yes, I can confirm, clearing the cookies helped with the logout process here at the bold, but I still can't log into the forum directly, always get that same message after introducing username/password.
I'm still using Firefox as main browser. Strange thing is when I tried logging in from a fresh Vivaldi installation the same error popped up, but logging in to this blog, made the same automatic login-redirect thingy and never even asked for username/password. Are the cookies shared?

Back-forward caching of Opera 12 ignored because it's not really relevant to every other browser (I wish we had it, but we don't), the new forum is way, way faster than it used to be for me. It also looks dramatically better. It's one of the best forums I've ever used.

Wow! Nice! It is much more organized.
-
On both vivaldi.net and on new forum there are options for this, im not sure if they work though. Topic is about forums so settings>Privacy>Show My Full Name.
-
I have tried deleting my vivaldi.net cookies, but my login to the blogs is still being lost. Log in to the forums is automatic, and if I visit there first, I am logged in to the blog.
-
In "stable" version i have the same problem. So your fanboys dislikes looks way pathetic though.
-
Note that I used to startup with Last Session. That had got changed to "Specific pages." After changing my startup to Last Session, and restarting the browser, I am still logged in to the blogs.
-
Still losing my login to the blogs.

great move

Both the forums and the blogs expect courtesy and respect, even when expressing upsets, misgivings or problems. It's actually the number one thing you agree to by participating.
Being nasty and rude does not make you a "realist" or "honest." Being honest and realistic, while remaining polite, does not make one a "fanboy."
The_Solutor and myself work pretty hard to help Vivaldi improve their product by bringing up problems direct to the developers; and at the same time work pretty hard to try to promote a welcoming atmosphere for users on the forums and the blog. This does not make us "fanboys," either. It makes us people who put our own sweat into making things better. In my life, I don't insult people who are actively trying to improve things.
I see insulting people who actually do the work is pretty popular on the web nowadays - but on on Vivaldi boards. We ask you to remain courteous and respectful in your comments, both negative and positive.
-
Same here. There's a bit more work to be done to unify/centalize logins. Devs are still working on it.
-
What are you smokin? the new forum is noticeably faster than the old one thanks to ajax load without page refresh.
-
That has always been the case with Vivaldi profiles. I discovered it the first day. If you don't wish your full name on the web, change it on your profile (as you have already done). Mine on my profile is Aye Spy. Yours could just as easily be RRR 13.

Something's broken: when I go to the forums, I'm greeted with
Internal Error.
Oops! Looks like something went wrong!

Provided Authorization Grant is invalidAnd if I try to log in through forums, I instead get
Internal Error.

More rude is breaking someones internet surfing and destroying their passwords and accounts. My emotional words wasn't that rude like your screwing my browser.
I ask you for don't crash my browser, okay? And repair this, beacuse i have to log on all sites nearly like in the incognito mode.
Why did you do this? Is it that complex for you? Other browsers can do this function all time and doesn't make that dirty crashes. -
I got the issue fixed, I can now log in and out from blog and forum.
Thanks Vivaldi team. -
Yup, I can login and out of the blog and forum at will now too.
Only complaint now is that every time I navigate away for more than a few ours I always get logged out, hwre before I'd stay logged in for quite a few days -
I cleared my vivaldi.net cookies again, and loigns now seems to be remembered OK.
