Search in PDF crashes Vivaldi (VB-24128)
Yaay, my first report that got fixed. Thank you very much, searching in catalogues in my work will be much more pleasant now. -
I wanted to thanks for VB-20332, but it still not working, only for me?
-
Browser screenshots.
Selection doesn't work, always captures whole screen. bug?
Inactive on speeddial.
File names could be better eg. d-m-y-siteaddress.jpg -
That's a pretty awesome feature! Since I don't use a status bar (only when hovering links), any way we can have this replicated somewhere else? There's plenty of space in the panels or address bar.
Thank you so much for right click on extensions! Finally

Vivaldi Bugs
- VB-23176 - Vivaldi fails to close properly and maxes Disk Usage to 100% (haven't seen this one in the last 3-4 builds).
My Vivaldi Wishlist
1. In-line Developer Tools [VB-2776]: support for in-line (not popup) Developer Tools.
2. Native Windows 10 Notifications: Currently Vivaldi uses Chrome notifications and they appear on top of my tabs.
3. Edit Speed Dial URLs with an "Edit" Context Menu option: Currently we have to use the Bookmarks Menu to do that. I don't ever use the Bookmarks menu.
4.Allow Settings for extensions right in the address bar for better UX.
5. Allow reordering of Speed Dial Tabs [VB-218]
6. Allow customization of Speed Dial thumbnails
7. M3: Let us set up the feeds refresh interval to at least 5 or 15 minutes. -
- still waiting for context menu for bookmarks/bookmark folder in bookmark bar
-
Thanks for the report Gregor, the fix has been confirmed as not working for everyone, and is being investigated again, thanks!
-
Selection seems to be based on where you start, starting from the top gives correct selection for me, but not when going from the bottom.
-
Can you provide the option to grayscale tabs on hibernation? It's not something I want.
-
It could be cool if vivaldin would start maximised allways
also - password manager works selectively (for example here doesn't work) and it don't allow entering details with two-page login (google for example)

Wow, thanks for this gift Very nice feature. Also thanks very much for VB-9681 !!!
Also, I wish you all the Vivaldi team, blessed holidays and happy new year. Good luck in the new year, and a lot of satisfied users -
We already have a few ideas of how we can improve this further but as always, we would love to hear your suggestions as well.
β’ Vivaldi saved the captures without asking on ~/Pictures/Vivaldi Captures/
β Better save with asking or in download folder.
β’ The filename is very cryptic, better with Timestamps:
β e.g. vivaldi-[translate]-%H-%M-%S.png/jpg
β’ Better border color when select (on dark page i can't see the border).Nice feature.

Good to know, this bug almost ruined Christmas, which makes me mad. Vivaldi coming along so nicely and Linux getting in the way. This is why the Year of Linux on Desktop continues as a fools dream.
-
"[Extensions] Context menus for extension's buttons (VB-9681)"
Lovely! Thanks for this.
Here's hoping that 2017 will be the year that truly escalates Vivaldi to the next level with mail, sync and performance improvements!

I luuuuuuvs me some screenshots. I am already using it for my work. It is a time- and step-saver like you would not believe. AND it works better than any extension or freestanding app I have tried before.
-
Screenshots is a spinoff from fixing a bug with thumbnail capture. So it's a direct result of fixing a pair of reported bugs. Just so you know.

One man's useful feature is another man's feature bloat. I have FastStone Capture and have always advocated using a system-wide tool for screen captures, however, FastStone Capture fails to capture a scrolling web page in Vivaldi, so it's useless for that particular task. I did a capture of this blog page in Opera 12.17 using FastStone, and in Vivaldi using the camera icon (in both cases I set the zoom to 120%). These were my results:-
1. Vivaldi captured the page in 2 seconds vs FastStone's 16 seconds
2. Filenames: f65c4b5f-119c-42d6-a3fb-952f2e146646.png vs FastStoneCapture 572.png
3. File sizes: Vivaldi 1.77 Mbytes vs FastStone Capture 651 Kbytes
4. File dimensions: Vivaldi 1856 x 14398 pixels vs FastStone Capture 1898 x 7961 pixels (includes Opera Toolbar and tabs). Both images seem to be complete, but Opera renders the page with fewer line wraps. -
Why say anything positive when you can have a whinge, yeah
-
Regressions (such are your report) always get first billing. One wants to take no steps backward while trying to move forward.
-
This feature was actually requested some months back. I would not have thought it would arrive this early, were it not a byproduct of other work that had to be done. Happy coincidence!
-
Hm, that would explain why the Top Sites file grow insanely big with time. Also correlated to the disk usage bug.
