Vivaldi 1.6RC 1 - Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.6.689.29
-
We start off the week with the first release candidate for Vivaldi 1.6. This RC resolves a major regression for Mac users with swiping through history.
-
A snapshot at this time? Yep, the team is working hard in the lead up to the holidays. Always nice to end the year on a high!
-
Thank you very much! A great job team Vivaldi! A hug from the Brazilians!:D
-
Third!
Where is Olli?! -
There's no tradition for third post. Watcha doin'?
-
Thanks guys !
-
Thumbs for tabs loaded in background seems to be working much better now.
Thanks. -
Setting for "Hide the mouse cursor" does not disable (VB-23965)
I hope this also fixes my reported bug. It seems to at first glance.
(VB-23905) Cursor Disappears when Attaching Files

Dammit, I missed the First this time. You won a battle ruario, but not the war, we shall meet again on the comments battlefield !
-
I might have a minor advantage over you.
-
New RC, but many strings not translated (hardcoded).
Not good for final. sorry. -
Nice.
In the future, will there be an option to have thumbnails refresh every x seconds/minutes?
W.

Thank you for this new snapshot at night.
-
Hahaha… He just inaugurate such tradition...
-
It will be great along with the same option for pages…

VB-23483 (RoboForm extension (7.9.23.3) and Vivaldi (1.5.658.44 32-bit) login/bookmark selection issue, Windows 10) is still present in this RC - and is now a blocking issue for me as the version I was using (1.4.589.38) now presents me with certificate transparency errors for sites I believe to be trustworthy, e.g. Amazon.
I'm happy to update the JIRA with more details as I get them (for example, the problem doesn't exist on my corporate Win7 machine) but have no login for it - am I able to get one?
-
Can't drag and drop the connection, the picture, the text?
The password cannot automatically fill in a form, can not see a saved password no upgrade. -
He must be using Internet Explorer
-
Oh that thing… First thing I did was turn it off because I always accidentally went back.
Saw the word swiping, and was hoping this meant tablet support.

I have one minor issue with tab stack renaming:
If the option Minimize Active Tab is enabled it is impossible to select text to rename a tab stack. Clicking the editing area to select text will make it switch to the last active tab cancelling renaming. Reported as VB-23794
Another long standing issue also related to Minimize Active Tab is that Vivaldi behaves weirdly with Close tab by Double Click. When double-clicking to close, we get a quick flicker while Vivaldi toggles tabs before actually closing current one. Maybe solvable by only "minimizing tabs" on mouse button release instead, if no other event happens in the meantime(?)
Anyway another great release approaches
