A new snapshot and new forums - Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.5.654.3
-
This is more of a suggestion than a bug, but I thought it relevant given your recent attempt to make the vivaldi menu button seem more like an actual button.
In any other (on windows 10) maximised window, the top left pixel will bring up the window menu when clicked. However, because vivaldi uses a custom window border, clicking the top-left pixel when maximised does nothing. This is a personal opinion and not really a bug, so feel free to shoot it down, but to me that is expected behaviour.

the pagefile usage just keeps increasing when I open a few tabs and it doesn't drop down when I close all of them. Snapshot 1.5.609.8 manages ram usage and pagefile usage very well, no matter how many tabs I have opened when I close all the tabs, everything is back to normal just like when I open the browser for the first time of the day. I don't really know what went wrong but please fix it.

You could first try restoring defaults in your search engines.

Win 7 64 Bit, 32 Viv
Good luck on Forum update…maybe with all this done things will slow down.
Added:
I downloaded whole install file, exited out of Vivaldi, watched Process Explorer to make sure totally shut down. Re-loaded new SS did NOT install. Did this 3 times. Then tried "update SS" same thing. I'll re boot etc. probably mine never had this either before, sorry. Probably just mine again. Updated FF twice this week no problems hope I don't have to start over with clean install.!!
Was going to erase above re-boot solved installation trouble sorry.

Congratulations
Finally the upgrade! Hopefully It will stop asking me to login here every single time I reboot the browser.

I'm still on stable version, so no idea if this has been changed already in the newer snapshots, but:
Would be nice, if the "back" button function worked in Speed Dial folders, cheers. -
No, that didn't work. I think I should probably repair my profile

"If you are aware of bugs that have appeared since 1.4 stable (regressions) and would like to remind us of them, please feel free to do so below."
Here i am, here i am, here i am, hi you can fix regression "VB-22040 - Saving bookmarks by dragging URLs / Tab" which is very annoying?
Thank you.
-
Did the registry edit for no auto-checking updates and here I was getting a window telling me to update. I guess I'll go drown myself.
-
I am sad to see that the renamed Note Titles don't appear in the Insert Note context menu. That's where they are the most useful.
(VB-23030) Renamed Note Titles should show on Insert Note Context Menu
-
I can promise that you won't.
-
Everything went smooth as silk at home, as usual.
-
Thanks for the snapshot! I've got right-aligned tabs. It would be nice, if there will be no right-click menu after mouse gesture applied over the tabs (or empty space). Cheers
-
Regression: The Bug report wizard shows that I am using version 1.4, but I am using 1.5.654.3 (Official Build) (32-bit)
(VB-23031) Bug Wizard Reports wrong version
-
You are probably about to break some record here, keep them coming!
Only obvious issue I can of, is the crash launching apps from the app launcher. I've already reported it as VB-22908, though I'm not sure if it is an actual regression or was already present in previous releases
-
Hehe finally got your pet bug fixed
It always feels sooo good!
-
FYI in less than we're shutting down vivaldi.net for a couple of hours. Please come back after 1am UTC. A new forum is on its way…
-
yeeey

"We're happy to hear that you’re enjoying the daily builds .." Actually most of us are likely ecstatic! Thank you! While I would love an update every day it's like you are running flat out and even two a week would be a treat.

I had reported a translation error in the context-menu (right mouse click on a link) for a previous 1.5.xx snapshot as VB-21470. In this last snapshot the problem has become "bigger":
Instead of just one menu entry appearing in English instead of German, now all 4 entries starting with "Open link in…" are in English.Anyways, this is quite a minor problem. You're doing a great job with this browser, Thanks!
