Is there a way to disable the mouse gesture for "Open Link in New Tab" while keeping the gesture for "Open New Tab" enabled?
-
Why is it impossible to drag and drop tabs into private window? it's the same on Chrome. But why?
-
It works in backroung normaly, but after two last snapshots its broken.
-
I'm unconvinced by the new updating method.
Yes, it benefits those with 56K modems, but aside from those two people, is watching an animated installation bar for maybe 20 seconds a good user experience?
Can any of that work be done behind-the-scenes so that when you get the prompt to restart it just has to restart (or maybe also slide in some files that it has stored in a staging area) and not go through that right then?
Related: Is forcibly popping up an upgrade notice a good thing (and yes, there may be a way to disable that, but I'm not talking about killing update checks)? I think with Opera, there is no popup: the Start button just changes color, subtly telling you that an upgrade is ready. And as I recall, when you click it to restart, there isn't a 20-second procedure afterwards.

Win 10x64. Reader mode won't work on a page that's been loaded from a previous run, but it will work on a new page. Also, I'm not getting anything on screen on this particular page either.

Users don't understand that the V icon is a clickable menu (VB-22166)

1. We need an option to disable the Vivaldi logo/button on the Horizontal Menu.
2. We need more columns on the Speed Dial. This could be achieved by having an option to disable the limit for columns and having the Speed Dial zoom independent from the UI.I am pretty sure you are working on those two, but since we can't exactly know what's going on behind the curtains, I think it's worth voicing it here.

Omg, remove that 1 pixel in upper left and right corner of the browser!
-
yeaah and i don´t want a System doing something in the background …. without my knowing ...
-
+10. I want this too. I really miss this from Olde Opera. It's a small thing but so handy.
-
It's a known bug
-
Reader mode changes the page CSS, so turning it on and off requires a reload I think, as someone mentioned in an earlier snapshot.

Win 7 64, Viv 32
Installer did not install this SS, had to download as I prefer. Seems better hopefully usable.
Big question… do I remove instructions in shortcut from previous SS now??!! Gong to reboot and start clean boot.
Thanks.
Reboot cleaned up and helped.

Wow tab dragging is pretty much in good shape now, very usable state. Only minor thing missing is support dropping over the empty area of the tab bar, other than that working as expected.
One very very minor nit picking: Dragging a tab sideways generally triggers tab reordering, would be nice if dragging beyond the leftmost or rightmost limit of the tab bar would immediately trigger tab dragging (drawing that "floating tab ghost") just like dragging above or bellow the tab bar currently does. As it stands dragging sideways often fails, only after dragging quite a considerable distance or over another non-Vivaldi window triggers it, giving a false impression of no responsiveness.
Also many many thanks for dragging over the trash icon to erase tab!
-
Interesting. Opened it on top of the browser here. How lucky am I?
-
Holly crap, has anyone tested this?? Vivaldi is so awesome that it (unintentionally?) managed to make inter-browser tab dragging possible!!
I can drag one Vivaldi tab into a Firefox window and it sorta works, a new Vivaldi window is still opened anyway, but the new tab successfully opens in Firefox.
How awesome is that? -
When I reload and go back to a page, it doesn't work any more. Only the new pages opened in the current session work for me.
-
Same here, reader view makes this page blank
-
Yea, seems it takes a screenshot of the tab when you drag it, easy to see if you drag it over another tab then out.
-
Yes, it benefits those with 56K modems
It benefits everyone indirectly by saving precious resources and demanding less from the Vivaldi download servers and bandwidth.
