Snapshot 1.2.470.11 - Editable Gestures

Sorry, I'm not sure I follow. Do you mean clicking the add bookmark icon in the address bar and the drop-down is annoying? Personally I find that mechanism good. It can be turned off? I'd like to see auto-complete added to the drop-down so placing the bookmark in the appropriate folder would be much easier.

I have some problems downloading Vivaldi. I'm in Armenia and I have 30 Mbps Internet connection, but when I download snapshot or update, it's going very slow and sometimes not completing. I tried to download via Opera 38 with activated German VPN, it was fast. But without VPN I cannot download Vivaldi normally. My connection is OK and I'm downloading anything from other sites with normal speed. What could be the problem?

Gee is this a new one or same old song….?
Firefox isn't very secure anymore ...Crome engine more or less sandboxes each and every page so one will not interfere with another ONE. I hear and assume it is true. Hey I used to not even be able to run Viv months ago because of memory problems. Kept going back to FF it is stable enough now and is my default browser.

I don't even really blame MS. They are trying to follow the herd because their hegemony has slipped away (I imagine old MicroSerfs sitting in a bar reminiscing about the glory days of the Windows 95 launch, when the whole world was watching and caring). So they've hired people who are making Windows like all the other horrid "ecosystems" out there. UX, "cloud", ]"apps" (Gawd I hate that word), "mobile first", dumb it down, no options, bloody awful.
At least Vivaldi thinks we should be treated like adults with computers instead of children with "toys". Thank you Vivaldi.

Oh I loved that RANT…!!! you made my day! Been dealing with this all along as when I was pushing for Unix instead of CPM when DrDOS was FAR better than MS and would do multitasking. THANKS!! The herd wins every-time.
Don't you know they don't have to think, Google will do it for them.

Working great for me too. PLUS, if I click-drag-release the bookmark background turns dark blue but no new tab opens: THIS IS PERFECT because then pressing ENTER opens the tab which means the following is possible. An extra I'd like to see is when the bookmark background is dark blue, pressing the keyboard MENU key the pop-up context menu would open. This makes it easier for me (disabled user) to access the context menu. THANK YOU Vivaldi!

I am almost giddy with delight. Because my disability makes certain mouse gestures easier than others I am so thankful for the new editable mouse gestures feature! It's something I asked for and that makes me even happier. I hope you may be able to add support for diagonal moves. This is even easier for me PLUS it will increase the actions possible. THANK YOU!!!

Yes. Thank you.

I found a little buggy. When at least two tabs are remaining and using middle-click to close tabs, pressing it twice on the first tab (thus closing both tabs) closes Vivaldi completely Though this also happens with just one tab left as well.
-
Guys, here is OK. I followed the steps and it performed the search normally. Both via address bar and F2. Win10 x64, Viv x64
-
Do you have it set to "Always keep last tab" in settings/tabs?
-
Have you tried looking in the vivaldi://extensions page to see if there are there and perhaps disabled?
-
So glad for you…for people with disabilities I can see how it helps and am glad it's there for you. I'm sure Viv will get better, life's hard enough without obstacles. I think it shows they REALLY care and NOT just after the money and/or notoriety.

30 Mbps wow…. FREE USA is mostly slow I have no problems at 3 MBps. Any reason there would be a "man in the middle" on your connection?
-
The only one that resonates somewhat (because I do add a bookmark once in a very long while) is the fact that the add bookmark dropdown does not arrange folders by hierarchy.
I'm waiting for work on this. Arranging hierarchically would be good. Auto-completion would great.

Also, I'm not 100% sure how the browser knows where to look for extensions to run them. If, on install, it has learned to look in user\appdata\local\vivaldi\user data\default\extensions, and you just move the entire program folder to a new computer where your user name is not exactly the same, or if you move a standalone installation to another directory location, the browser will now no longer be able to find the extensions. All I know is sometimes when you copy extension data, the browser can't find it - so it's always safest to install extensions in the new copy of the browser, and not bring your old folders over.

Confirmed. Question: if Search Box is enabled should suggestions not work in it as well?
-
I think trails may help me learn to draw the gestures more accurately over time.
-
Deleting bookmark works fine here: W10 64bit
-
Search suggestions finally showing up ! Same engines for me…
-
Great improvements in this build ! Getting there…
