Minor update to Vivaldi 1.1
-
When is HTML 5 video issue fixed on Vivaldi for Mac? I think this issue is very serious. Because this issue happen on major website. "YouTube", "Facebook", "Twitter", and "Vimeo". So, I think Vivaldi should fix this issue as soon as possible.

Nevermind, that's for new links.

Are you ever going to add an option to disable lazy tab loading at startup? (tabs only load if you click on them)
-
It hasn't been abandoned at all. It is actually being tested internally at the moment, according to some of the insiders that have access to it and that I have chatted with.

Email client is not a simple thing, it has to have time to throw! Better to wait a long time to have it than launch it and you lose all your emails.
Sorry for my English -
Please advise on the benefits and disadvantages of 64-bit vs 32-bit for Windows if any.
-
Well, judging from how far the browser has developed in 15 months I'd think it should have been feasible to release some basic version of the email client. Which is why I wonder if it's even still being pursued.

It depends on what you are talking about, the OS, or the Vivaldi build.
On OS, always take 64-bit.
On the Vivaldi builds, on Windows, for now, it is recommanded to use the 32-bit builds, because they are more tested by the devs (they use those builds daily). That's why the 64-bit were marked as experimental.
On Linux, it's the other way around. You should use 64-bit, because they are the most tested, but also because Google is dropping support of the 32-bit. I think the 32-bit on Linux will disappear, sooner or later.
I hope that'll answer your question, but don't hesitate to ask if you have follow ups -
It is being actively developed.

The changelog in this blog post includes all the changes you are looking for. You must update, as this update bring some security fixes among other things.

To all of you, no the mail client hasn't been scraped, on the contrary.
Developping a mail client is a hard task, and two devs are on it full time from day one.
Of course, internally, the mail client is present. But to be released as a snapshot, to the public, they must know for certain that they won't lose the users data. And that is a big task.
So don't worry, it'll come. And if it takes time, know that's because they are working on it to make it work the best way possible -
I presume that you have some reason for creating a 64-bit build for Windows. Is it only useful for users who open 100s of tabs, or will it be faster for users like me who rarely fill the tab bar?
Even one tab can have a very long history, so more available RAM might be useful when using the Back or Rewind buttons.
I have 64-bit Windows 7, and 8 Gbytes of RAM. For now I am using the 64-bit version to test it as I heard that it might be faster.

After using this snapshot for a while, I still notice the flashing/blinking of the website page when I toggle the panel. It wasn't there for a bit for the first couple of hours, but I notice it now. Just toggle your panel in and out and you'll notice the website flashes white for a second.
Other than that, the address bar hasn't lagged yet, but I'll see.
Sometimes, you have to use the browser for some hours before these issues pop up that haven't popped up before. I wonder if that has to do with cache handling, or more resources being taken up over time.

Wish you would fix the developer tools windows so it can dock it on the side or bottom like in Chrome. Until that happens I am still forced to use Chrome for development.
-
I have zero trouble with Soundcloud. I am using the 32bit version and have the latest flash installed on Windows 10.

64-bit builds are the future. In some years, they will be default. But they are not fully ready yet. The aim is too allow further testing, that's why they are built and released.
They should be as good as the 32-bit builds, but it might not be the case on some small bugs. If you find such bugs in the 64-bit version, that are not present in the 32-bit version, don't hesitate to fill a bug about it -
After installing this I notice the page load pause issue is much better. It must have been the Chromium version. I'm happy. Thank you Team.
-
Yes, I haven't noticed it at all yet either, though I'll keep testing and seeing if it shows up sooner or later.

EMail is, in many ways, a more difficult project than a browser. Patience.
