Snapshot 1.1.453.43 - Vivaldi 1.1RC2

The Shift+Alt in vivaldi brings up the menu at the top left side. However, this shortcut is also conflicting with Windows's Shift+Alt keys to change language. Maybe try to change the shortcut key for the menu.

Yes, they read comments here and in the forums, and they register bugs reported at the bug reporter page. And as fast their tiny team with their huge job is able, they fix bugs that are either critical in nature (showtoppers) or trivial to take care of, before moving on to bugs that require more time and effort, while at the same time building a brand new browser from scratch, from the ground up. Did I mention the team is quite small? The amount of progress they have made so far in creating the browser during the last fifteen months, has been positively staggering, and yet they are still far from done. Some have learned to be patient.

Ah. The workaround for now, until this regression is fixed, is to click on the Description or Nickname field before moving on to another folder or bookmark, in order to save changes. You do not have to press "enter."
More… As to the side panel, you can make any edit you want there and it is saved when you click again on the blue "edit" pen at the top of the panel.

I was trying to add a self-signed certificate for my local server and I realized I can't access Managing Certificates screen from the menus. Is there a shortcut that I am not aware of?

Hello! Is there any way we can have the auto-update check disabled for an option? If not, is it possible to have the update window not as a separate object in Windows task bar and centered like it is with Settings. I have a mental condition which makes me workaround things in a weird way. I manually downloaded the update from this blog because of it.

Minor bug.The tab preview of Speed Dial almost consistently shows the preview of the tab to the left of the Speed Dial tab. 32-bit Win 7 Pro, old Intel PC, 2 GB RAM.

When will Chrome engine be updated where you can use an add on PFD viewer instead of Vivaldis?
-
Released on Saturday? Ohoh, what about the working conditions at Vivaldi….

Fixing VB-15312 in the previous snapshot (RC1) seems to have fixed my reported problem (VB-14509) with some characters performing browser actions if used within Flash content. However, with this latest snapshot (RC2) the problem came back, i.e. pressing "1" within a Flash text area switches to another tab, pressing <backspace>goes back one page in history. Keyboard handling was still fine in version 1.0.380.2 but shortly after that, things got broken somehow.</backspace>

Think you already said that andreasyeah.

Thank you, the workaround works fine.
I can't see any blue pen… maybe it's due to my appearence settings.
Anyway my problem is solved now and I can continue my moving from Opera.Thank you!

Do search suggestions still not work with any other search engine than Bing or am I just too stupid?
-
I completely agree with u there
-
All works, yet Google is tricky one sometimes it doesn't show.
-
Same here. 99% of the time Google search suggestions does not work.

Speaking of MAJOR ISSUES - here's a list of snapshots that don't work on a touch screen (touch events are not recognized on web pages, the browser's UI is fine though):
• 1.0.420.4
• 1.0.422.8
• 1.0.425.3
• 1.0.429.5
• 1.0.430.3
• 1.0.435.5
• 1.0.435.22
• 1.0.435.24
• 1.0.435.26
• 1.0.435.29
• "Vivaldi 1.0" (whatever snapshot version it was)
• "Vivaldi 1.0" after a minor update
• 1.1.443.3
• 1.1.453.6
• 1.1.453.30
• 1.1.453.36
• 1.1.453.43Looking at this list, I have a feeling that soon I'll be adding "Vivaldi 1.1" (whatever snapshot version it'll be) to this list as well. In the meantime, I'm using Vivaldi as the main browser on my tablet and I'm stuck with v.1.0.418.3, as this was the last version that had a full support for touch gestures. I don't know whether it's a chromium issue or there's just something wrong with Vivaldi itself, but all I do now is I download every snapshot that you release, find out it's broken too and go back to the last working one.
I reported the issue (VB-15433) few weeks ago, but there's no confirmation whether you're working on it, or you don't have time for this, or you don't care, or whatever… -
Something like that should be quite simple for the developers, but your reasons seem odd… (though you have my support on this)
