Snapshot 1.1.453.6 - Further tab closing options, improved dark UI and more import options
-
Thanks.
Still no new tab opening from Search Field in address bar.
Still favicon's white background on active tab. -
Nope
-
It's a planned feature.
-
Been waiting for this one. Now if we could only get an option to actually open new tabs to the right of current tab as well…
-
Yes, number 1 so much! It's actually the ugliest part of vivaldi in my eyes. It looks so out of place with the flatness of the rest of the UI.
-
Thanks for another update!
I have a little request. It would be great if Panel could overlap a page instead of shifting it. Also, it would be wonderful to be able to pick color for a page manually (most of the time Vivaldi picks color perfectly, though, but sometimes it doesn't).
Thank you in advance!

Just to add more info, middle clicking on folder opens included tabs correctly. W7 64b.

So much for replacing Opera12 with Vivaldi… (WinXP)
In order to use it I have to upgrade my OS.
Is it possible to just let it run (load) in XP even without official support?
What is the thing that WinXP are not capable of doing at the 1.1.453.6 version?
1.1.443.3 is working OK... -
They are working on mail and sync. I hope we will get it soon.

Apparently some old problem, that is still there; a friend mentioned earlier today that his Vivaldi keeps crashing randomly, and restarting, and mentioned that it might have to do with him dragging around with mouse randomly (selecting text, dragging text).
So i went on to try it now and then during the day, and i just got it happen to me, when i marked some text in an editbox, and dragged the text to another line in that editbox.
Crashed, restarted, but can't seem to get it to crash again now…But it still seems to be there, this seems to have been a topic last year too:

Yeah, I'm also mad because Vivaldi does not run on Windows 95. What are they thinking for not supporting an obsolete, insecure OS that is not updated in years anymore !!!
-
Lets hope no. Thanks to Adobe Flash and Java we have on the Internet spam, botnets, ddos attacks and all possible computers spreading malware.
I'm counting the minutes until browsers don't support Flash, Java or any other plugin which does not belong in the browser.
-
So, I'm guessing now that Vivaldi is stable, it means we'll have faster feature implementations, or at least more implementations per snapshot.
Farewell, old OSes. Well, at least 7 is still supported, so I'm fine with it. Should be ok for a couple more years. Also, I'm guessing 64 bits isn't experimental anymore, right?
And now we don't have to worry about which type of Flash plugin we have anymore. PPAPI all the way!
And yay for more closing options! I love to see options.
Oh, and can we have a "Open in Panel" option for URLs, videos and Tabs? I find the Panel useful for having a video open when I'm browsing other tabs but don't necessarily want it on my Panel forever. Having it vanish after I'm finished with said URL without having t delete it manually would be wonderful.
Basically, I want a temporary Web Panel.
-
By the way, there's a scrollbar that hasn't been made Dark, the one that is used to scroll pages.
-
Nope, on Windows 10, x64. Using Vivaldi x86. Been happening for many snapshots now, some other users confirmed it too, wrote a bug report a while ago.
-
True on the new tabs opening faster, but the panel is still very sluggish.
-
alt-enter please
-
And Chrome gave warning on trying to download the exe file on Windows :o
-
Confirmed. Debian Jessie x64
-
