Minor update to Vivaldi 1.0
-
IIRC when you download and install the repo will be added automatically
-
One thing that I would like to see is the ability to move a URL added to the speed dial into a new folder. I can add a bookmark folder as a speed dial, but it doesn't allow me to move a previously created speed dial URL into a folder created in the same speed dial.

Hey one little thing which I would love to see being added, is the ability to drag tabs between windows, rather than having to right click on them and select move and then the window to which you want to move it to.
Apart from that I'm loving Vivaldi so far, keep up the good work! -
Try deactivating this: vivaldi://flags/#automatic-tab-discarding

OS on vivaldi://about/ is wrong for recent users on OS X, might be a Chromium bug

Oh well, oh well, oh well… Search suggestions still don't work for me, whatever the engine :-
Vivaldi is starting to be usable though, slowly gaining room against Firefox on my desktop (which kinda makes me sad because I like FF)... The killer feature (the one that would make V my default browser) would be the fully customizable mouse gestures, something like the old Opera had, or what is achievable with Fire Gestures on FF. Chrome extensions are a big NO because they don't work on "internal" pages. -
He's saying he has Vivaldi 1.0 but cannot use it. Been weeks that Vivaldi closes out of nowhere without even having as much as an error message, as soon as he opens any webpage. He tried installing it as 5 versions prior to this one, uninstalling without advanced software to clean the data, but to no avail.
Someone help this guy, please.

Ah, you are correct. Apt-get update and apt-get upgrade got me updated
-
That's one little feature I miss too
-
Using it now as my main browser. Took a little playing about, but now wonderful. Thanks so much.

I'm running Vivaldi 1.0.435.42 under Slackware64-current (14.2 RC1). I've Installed Vivaldi into /usr/local. I've noticed that there's a symbolic link pointing to Google Chome's Widevide CDM plugin in /opt/google/chome/. But since I don't have Chrome installed, I had to extract the Chrome Widevine plugin from the Chrome RPM and update the symbolic link in the Vivaldi directory.

Anyone know where I can get more information on the security features of Vivaldi?

[BUG] Vivaldi does not remember last active tab
If you close the browser with tab X active, when you reopen it tab Y is active.

Congratulations for version 1.0 release!
I hope to be provided comfortable web browsing by Vivaldi like a Opera 12.
But I noticed 12 strange wide-character at by Vivaldi 1.0.435.42 when I used as usual. It was indicated right in Opera 12.18.
I wish for improvement of Vivaldi.
Thank you for reading these unskillful sentences until the end. -
64bit Windows installers of previous and this version are too slow to download. It stops on the way and finally be disconnected. I retried 10 or more times to download 1.0. I still cannot get this installer.
64bit is always slow to download. However these didn't stop, simply slow. How can I get this smoothly? I'm feeling this situation as if I'm not one of friends of Vivaldi… -
How can I save my history, data, passwords, if I need to reinstall in another machine ?
-
You should definitely try running Vivaldi through the Centennial Converter and turn it into a UWP app. From there it shouldn't be hard to make it into a Windows Mobile app.

I copied source code in site, and paste to an editor.
As a result, an editor did the same indication as Vivaldi.
I found out that source code in site is incomplete.
There is difference in even incompleteness seems to be that and whether source code is the shown specification by browser (Please see also here).By the way, it was also the same result as Opera12 in case of IE9.

Hello!
I have been waiting for a year for Vivaldi 1.0 to start using it.
The main problem which I noticed in the first few minutes is that all the tabs at startup, and all the tabs in the background, do not refresh until clicked on. This is most annoying, because every time I start Vivaldi I have to click on all tabs from last time to refresh them.
I think this is a bug (rather than a feature) since background tabs sometimes refresh themselves and sometimes don't. When exiting and starting Vivaldi though, no tabs refresh automatically. The other thing on my wishlist is configurable mouse gestures. The Opera 12.x kind is the best - map everything to anything.
Thirdly, tab stacking like in opera 12.x is easier to use - there was a small arrow next to the stack which expands it without the need to open every tab inside. I don't mind the existing options, but would like that small arrow back as well. Not sure if this is what you're talking about here.
Fourthly - when refreshing a page, I would like the page to scroll to my last position. Currently it goes to the start of page.
And finally, I would like more tab closing options. Specifically, would like to be able to chose - go to next right tab after closing.
The first problem is the biggest one, and preventing me from really enjoying using Vivaldi.
Having a bunch of features is a very good thing, but I would like if you focused on improving existing features more (like described above) to make them spit and polish.
The old Opera was not built in a day, and that is exactly why it always felt slick - all features merged together seamlessly.
V.
