Snapshot 1.0.435.22 - Bugfixes and Breakfast
-
HI. Google translate plugin. Translate this page is not working. OSX 10.11.4. Thanks
-
I'm also curious about the experimental state of the 64Bit-version in 1.0.
What I'm missing the most is a "Clear private data on exit" - option
This should really be in a stable version of every browser.1.0 without mail is also a bit sad but still ok.
Any news on that? v2.0 maybe? still in 2016?Apart from that. Bottoms up and thanks for the hard work!

Aweeeesoooomeeee! There's a problem with the address bar, though. That it got re-introduced two snapshots back:
It lowercases the first letter when you start typing.
-
Is the site actually going to be down for maintenance or is that just an April Fool's joke?
-
Perhaps at breakfast, the final version will be presented? This would be a beautiful idea
-
The only problem so far is that youtube movies aren't working (embedded on site).

It will probably stay "experimental" (notice the quotes) for a much longer time - which does not mean that it is less stable or does not work well or is not fit for daily use.
-
Double-click on a tab closes it. Can you let us choose what it does, like "close others", "close tabs to the right", "pin the tab"?
-
Mail is worked upon and active in the internal versions since some time, but for now the top priority is to get the main browser right.
This does not mean that there is no work done on the mail client, just that development is a bit slower.
Additionally, if a website or an extension breaks, it is normally no catastrophe - but that may not happen with mail, because that could destroy valuable user data (like an important mail), which must be avoided under all circumstances.

Hi Ruari and Vivaldians,
first of all, thanks for your hard work and good luck for your finish!
Since Vivaldi already is my main browser, I actually can't miss anything essential. However, I could imagine if jumping on the train right now, I would be really surprised by finding myself not being able to couple <ctrl>+ <t>with the "Next to tab"-option.
Bugwise it's ok for me, but I'm an old-fashioned surfer anyway (no FB, no G+ etc.).
someone</t></ctrl>

Favicons in private browsing disappeared.
W7 64 bit, vivaldi 32 bit -
Still no fix for the panel-toggle. This has been the problem for the last five snapshots or so. Will this be fixed or is no one having the same trouble?

Dear devs,
please note UI of private windows is still broken. I've prepared short gif with a few issues:- wrong icons for extension button in inactive window
- min/restore/max window controls seems to miss mouse leave event
- wrong appearance of speed dial sections

os win 8.1 x64 + vivaldi current build x64
-
I would like to have an option to disable internal password manager and form input.
-
please add seperator lines for bookmarks (before final) like in O12. They are easier for grouping bookmarks than folders are.
beside this, great work! -
alt+tab? This is a default windows command which is not used in Vivaldi itself AFAIK.
Maybe providing some info about the bug might help -
@ruari Wow, that was fast! Speaking about pet bugs that really bug me:
- VB-11751 Opening links from other applications does not bring fullscreen Vivaldi to foreground. (potential showstopper for me.)
- Esc closes in-page search bar but exits fullscreen mode at the same time on OSX. Same for maximized videos in fullscreen mode. I'd expect that Esc exits full screen only if in-page search bar is already closed and no video is maximized. Otherwise close bar or minimize video first, respectively. (VB-11105 put in concrete terms.) (really irritating)
Any chance to see them fixed before 1.0? Nevertheless, thanks for the hard work. It's really appreciated.

Frustratingly, my 10.9.5 machine is inoperable right now, and getting it back up and running just might require upgrading to 10.11, so I might not be able to test that H.264 bug I mentioned in comments before. I'll do my best but no guarantees.

I finally got the update to install correctly to a USB installation:
1. Clicked on Install update
2. Let the installer launch
3. Manually closed VivaldiFor some reason, the installer won't close Vivaldi to complete the installation properly otherwise.

Three major gripes
- I've been getting random crashes when closing a tab with mouse gestures. Someone knows if that one has been bugged?
- We still need Close Tab and go to Right! It should be here before 1.0!
- And option to disable middle clicking between tab and address bar
It seems that 1.0 is really close
