Snapshot 1.0.422.8 - Quick fixup for issues in the previous snapshot

Small suggestion. One of the things I don't like about Vivaldi is how it opens new Windows in a new tab instead of a re sized Window.
Some Windows need to be open in the size the website sends them to the user, because it just makes sense for help things, app that references the current active window, or something else you need to have on top of the current website.
I guess this is working like this because Vivaldi does not allow to detach tabs yet, but once you do, please open new windows a user opens and clicks respecting the windows size for those windows popups.

It is a false positive. We are aware of it and have contacted various anti-virus vendors to get them to update their definitions.
-
that's why now I report officially features as bugs

Would it be possible to have dedicated URLs for latest builds like WordPress does? Like:
https://vivaldi.com/download/snapshot/latest-beta-win-64bit.exe
https://vivaldi.com/download/snapshot/latest-snapshot-win-64bit.exe
and so on…Plus this is kind of a general annoyance. CloudFlare on Vivaldi services is making it pretty darn hard to download the latest builds on my Pi connected to the internet using PIA VPN. Apparently PIA is not doing well in CF's database

Will "turbo bookmarks" return ever?
It seems a few snapshot versions back, it become no longer possible to call up a bookmark after pressing F2 and a unique bookmark nickname WITHOUT HAVING TO PRESS ENTER afterwards. In the "good old days," as soon as a unique letter combination was entered, Vivaldi whisked me off to that bookmark. I miss that! Is there a way to re-enable that feature on my end here, possibly?

Are search suggestions supposed to work? I resetted my search engines again as directed by the previous post. I am using Google as default search. I am not getting any search suggestions after I type a keyword in the address bar.
-
Before the finale (important):
a) MMB in "History folder" work like LMB (VB-13148)
b) Google translate extention – "translate this site" not working (VB-14048)PS.
Vivaldi in this snapshot works much more slowly than before. -
No, it's CloudFare that isn't doing great at all…
-
Is Search in Settings not working as expected? For example, type "smooth" and get nothing. It seems to be very hit and miss as to which searches will work. Is only a subset of Settings indexed?
-
Still not fixed the GMX MailChecker extension…
VB-9592
No interest, no priority, no comments? -
Ahhhhhhhh… Now that's better!
-
There is lots of work to be done to make it work. It's in the pipe, but it will take time.
-
It is possible to disable via vivaldi://flags/#disable-smooth-scrolling

My question to the team: the installation of a fixed transmission function is (like Google Chrome or Yandex) planned?
-
First i have to say is a big THANK YOU to the whole Vivaldi team for the incredible job. I use Vivaldi as my primary web browser and i'am super happy with Vivaldi. I have a little suggestion to make. It would be nice to define a custom thumbnail picture for speed dial entries. That would be another great step to customize Vivaldi a bit more.
Thank you and have a good time. ::Cheers::

…wrong my post
-
Hi,
thanks for that SS!
Clicking Speed Dial lacks modifier (Ctrl, Shift) support seen in the bookmark menu (VB-11458)
– Finally, thank you!!New Bug?
Search for a new update (autoupdate). If there is an update chose "update now". After the download you are asked to restart Vivaldi. The button "install and restart now" ist focused, but it can't be activated via the space key - you have to click it.Greetings

The issue with not staying closed on startup if it was closed on exit got fixed today, but after the build was made. We do open the sidebar by design when an item is added.

My question to the team: If installing a Translate function planned (like Google Chrome or Yandex)?

Maybe ought to switch Virus Scanners. I had Bitdefender long ago finnaly settled on Kaspersky had NO SUCH PROBLEM with it. The other night it detected a Trojan in an Email *zip file which I have never gotten in all these years.
