Snapshot 1.0.380.2 - Bug fixes and new Settings
-
I do not really have this problem myself anymore. Are there more information you can give. Window manager? Does it happen on a clean install? Does it happen if you open a new window after startup (when the main window it no longer in fullscreen)? etc
-
I just installed snapshot 1.0.380.2 & the "Color Area behind Tabs" option isn't there, what gives? Also, from the "Help" menu after "About", should either "Vivaldi" or "version" show the latest snapshot installed? Neither place ever shows the new snapshot # after I try to install them. Thanks

Nice little twist to the UI-there…. and a small problem.
When using the menu-bar instead of the vivaldi-menu, you get white text on white background.
See Screenshots for details.

I mean UI placement, not icon next to web address.
Like this (excuse paint skills) - http://i.imgur.com/Di6h1F5.png
This is how it looks like on my current browser - https://vivaldi.net/media/kunena/attachments/19397/vivaldi.png -
I meant favorite bar UI placement, not icon next to address bar, see my reply above

+1 on that, i even filled a bug report about some old issues with sound indicator saying that opera had done it right

looks like vivaldi havent touched any chromium internal page styles yet, BUT i discovered vivaldi://downloads has Material Design applied, while Chrome does not o.O that's weird

well, killing the tabs automatically is not a solution - some tabs still work in background, checking for new stuff etc (gmail, facebook)
also filled forms would get lost
but tabs without any timers and without any connections (that may trigger some scripting) and without any modified forms - probably could be killed without any problem
for me - manual way to kill a tab is cool, but … how about making killed tabs in greyscale or something?
-
probably it won't ever. Sad, because it's old (meaning - stable and well defined) and nice format. Probably vivaldi won't ever support some format that chromium doesn't support, as they are just using the core, not modifying it.
In just last two weeks I saw yet-another-new-image-format, and yet-another-new-video-format - there is a lot of them. Webp is nice, but it's authored by Google, and not supported anything but Google's browsers. Even Facebook serves (or used to 2 years ago, I did not check more than one) webp images to browsers that support it and it'd be nice to implement it everywhere.

Clear cache (V->Tools->Clear private data) should fix it.
-
Mail/RSS it's on the way, i thought it was said a hundred times already

this is what this update introduces

oh, sorry, you mean - take the color from the windows color, okay, i got it wrong. would be nice to have
-
restarting download moves download to the default folder, so if you specified your own destination for one specific file and restart the download - look for it in default folder

(all Vivaldi processes terminated), CPU usage stays at 20% or more, no programs running - only happens with Vivaldi;
So if all vivaldi processes are terminated - what processes are eating that 20%?
-
still regularly freezes up and crashes when playing videos or reading twitter feed
-
I wrote about automated process before I noticed that tab was completely removed from task manager…
Opera had that process automated...after 40 sec of inactivity tab would go hibernate...not all tabs, those with some bg process were left alone -
VB-12387 Zoom indicator is black on black
Vivaldi has a Zoom-Indicator? Where? Am I blind or what? :?:

Just did that myself, it now works perfectly. Thanks for the tip!
