Snapshot 1.0.377.10 - Three days work and twenty two more fixes
-
I suggest filling out a bug report right now if you can. That way, if they inspect it and find it's a problem, it gets fixed sooner for you and for everyone: https://vivaldi.com/bugreport/

Now this is my favorite browser

VB-10505 [Windows] Menu shows up on wrong monitor
Nice, finally.
Settings menu still opens on the wrong monitor though.

Found another bug in the speed dial.
Hit the + button to add a speed dial. The bottom bar pops up. If you try and paste an address in the url bar, the add button does not register meaning you can't add the dial. If you hit any key in the box and then paste the url, the add button becomes usable

Tiny bug - can not launch on OS X 10.8.5
-
Same thing here on 10.9.5 :
*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '-[AppController initWithCoder:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x7fcd062028e0'
terminating with uncaught exception of type NSException -
Hello guys, when you drag a URL in your bookmarks the respective title is not to tab but the same address.
In "sorting by title" bookmark, you might have the ability to view folders first? Currently it is a bit confusing. Thanks for the great work they make.

Bug:
Inspect -> url -> right click -> Open link in new tab double open tab. -
That's what i like to know, too. It's very annoying to have Vivaldi keep crashing on me all day. That's definitely not something you can release as "final" if major sites like Twitter won't work at all anymore.
-
I hope you are wrong. I will die to wait so long… :x

A few days ago I left my mouse at work so I thought I'd try using Vivaldi with keyboard only, using spat-nav. Well, it's kind of OK, but pretty frequently the indicator would disappear somewhere with no way to get it back (page reload, switch away and back, etc).
Also it dosn't seem to work on onClick-handled elements, only pure links. What was more annoying is that the focus handling seems to be pretty random still, which is important for keyboard work. The focus would sometimes go away from the page to an UI element, with (sometimes) no way to put it back. The password-remember dialog focusing is not really working, cannot close it with Esc or otherwise dismiss it, and no Enter handling either.
I spent more time fighting with keyboard focus and the spatnav than browsing.
So I must conclude (sadly) that in its current form Vivaldi is unusable with a keyboard.
(linux, 64-bit) -
Go to Speed Dial, at the top you'll see the History tab.
-
Right-click to paste-and-go in the URL bar AFTER refreshing a speed dial tile or the whole speed dial crashes Vivaldi. Win 10 x64, Vivaldi 32 bit; Bug report not filled.

I can't find any information on what discard page actually does. It's all very well putting all these options into Vivaldi, but how are we supposed to find or understand them without any context? We're not all O12 veterans here.
-
I have always had this behavior in speed dial, running on Linux. I thought this was intentional from some reason, but I suppose not - it is a bug!
-
mehh, isn't fixed for me
bookmarks file is as big as before. I looked in it and there's a section beginning with "other" and after this there're the deleted bookmarks -
I don't remember reading it in the logs, but I'll tell you what it does. Right click on a tab and you'll see the option "discard page". Great for other tabs you want to keep inactive and frozen.

Yes, once Vivaldi gets monetized and releases their final versions and their mobile version, I hope they expand enough that they can start to contribute some hardcore code into the Chromium base and actually make it a great engine like I hear Presto was! Their slogan should be "Make Web Browsing Great Again!", lol.

–incognito
will do

I realize more and more that I'm seriously missing a feature from Opera 12 - when you search for text in the page, you can just hit "Enter" to open a link inside the matched text. Is this coming to Vivaldi?
